St Aug Friday Evening-Doubles Meeting to have 4 CTPs going forward.
Voted to suspend collection of Course Improvement Fund, and pay out that dollar in the form of another randomly-drawn CTP. Last night, Luke got hole 5, Bob got hole 7, James got hole 10, and Jody got hole 18.
New power structure at County Parks & Rec Dept may allow us to do some improvements and spend the funds that exist from previous Mulligan collections. We did not vote on whether or not to keep Mulligans, but played with them last night.
Watch this space for possible updates on forming a new group with a working title something like "Friends of Fairgrounds Disc Golf".

Join us for random draw doubles every Friday
With the time change this week, our fairgrounds tee time moves to 5:30. This should allow for all holes to played before dark AND for more people to make it after work. Scores and Ace fund are updated weekly here on discgolfscene dot com, thanks discgolfscene!

13 players at the August 9th SAFE-D Meeting
Scores are posted under "Leagues" tab here on DGscene.com. Nick O & Dan Bin tore up the course tonight, scorching the other teams with a 59: that's 19 under par. The playoff for second place was completed without Kyle L, he left so Shannon had to play odd dog for the playoff. It was decided by a long putt on hole 4.
Tonight's CTPs paid $13 each to: Ben J on hole 2, Nick O on hole 13, and Cliff W on hole 20. Next week the CTPs will be # 3,14,21. James W & Dan Bus tied with Jim Lewis & Jeff R for last place, the ensuing visor controversy will be settled later....

No SAFE-D Meeting today
The weather is crappy, most of the course is probably submerged, and nobody i've heard from has expressed interest. Next week i expect renewed vigor for the huge ace fund, it's just sitting there waiting to make someone happy.

Back to wide open course (yawn)
The strings have been pulled up and we are back to the regular layout at the Fairgrounds course. Many players wanted to keep the tournament layout, if not permanently then a just a while longer. An individual who shall remain unnamed raised a big stink with somebody up high in the County about getting it returned to normal STAT. So back to the layout without any penalty for errant shots it went, with at least partial help from an inmate work crew I'm told.
Tonight at the SAFE-D meeting (s ...
