Hey guys, i've done some cross checking and the weekend of Sept 8-9 is open and available for a tournament without conflict. The nearest conflict is a 4 hour drive to either Strassburg, VA or Virginia Beach. We should talk this a bit at the next meeting.

Talked to Tyrone at parks. He said signed Waivers are fine. I can edit the waiver I used for the Hawk Hollow meet i ran last year.

Found specific disc golf insurance offered here: http://fdeanfl.com/policies/discgolf.asp
I contacted them for a single day estimate, but you can see their yearly price.
I tried calling local agencies and they were either unknowledgable or sky-high estimates.

didn't make a pledge form yet. Would be very cool if you could help out. There are some samples on the icebowl website, but would like to discuss sponsorship levels with everybody next week before drafting the forms. I have some ideas but am unsure of donation values.

I like the idea on the icebowl site of buying mulligans. That seems like fun!

Jerry, Nice job on the email to Brenda. Just curious--how did you know to get in touch with Southern Maryland IceBowl? I don't mind helping make some of the forms. Did you make a pledge form for pledges/people to sign or flyer or both?

I emailed Brenda at the Southern Maryland Ice Bowl today. I suggested setting a goal of $500 and 100lbs of food. I think we can raise that easily if we get some businesses to pledge. I will try Wyle (my contractor), Mikes Bikes, Walmart, Dicks Sports, and some local restaurants. Please ask your places of work if they'd donate. Email me for a pledge form. [email redacted]

So here's the breakdown of cost for glo supplies:

Basket prep: LED tea lights 20qty cost $12 at big lots. 20 extra batteries included. Use one to mark each basket. These should last at least 5 two-hour rounds per battery. Also needed is electrical tape to secure light to basket, probably one roll per night. A 10-pack roll is $6.50.

LED lights for discs: 100qty of LEDs costs $20. 100qty cr2032 batteries costs $20.00. Need clear packaging tape to secure to lights/batteries to discs. 1 ... more
