Cascade Locks Work Party this weekend
DC DAN:
We will have line and hedge trimmers for the un mowable fairways, new stakes for hole 5 OB, as well as lumber to start framing new course sign AND general maint. tools to ready the course for the upcoming dubs season and the Lock Robster tourney(may 2nd&3rd). Please call to confirm(we may have something offered be the local community for those attending, may need head count)
NOTE: We now have a practice basket!

the return of doubles
TO THE 2 PEOPLE WHO READ THIS STUFF: Spread the word. This Saturday is the first 2 disc doubles event at the Hood River Course. The formats, and rules are up on the board at the park, or on our page. The now legendary hole 10 will be in effect, and so will the old layout. There will be new tee positions on some holes that will be clearly marked. The layout will be set up Friday morning if you would like to try it out before the dubs event. See you all Saturday.

Calling all Crew
Pin 7 needs to be covered with chips, and the pin itself need rocks to help keep down the new dirt. I would love to do that right now, but I have to work thursday, and Im off to Bend friday for the Disc Go Ball. If any of you guys have the time, and the tools it would kick mass butt to get that done. The chips don't need to be deep. Just establish the green, and some trails to and from. Thanks guys.

Ladies, and gentlemen the "Dean-O Mando" is now in full effect. If Dean-O is wandering on a fairway, walking in front of your putt, or standing in front of you in the box at any SFDGC event he is officially a mando. ALWAYS THROW TO THE LEFT OF DEAN-O. If you want him to move in your favor throw a cigarette in the direction you wish him to travel.

Chris A had to manage the Dean-O mando today for the first time! He simply asked Dean-O to move to avoid a nasty up shot on 9. He was in play on 9 too but he passed the pin luckily for Chris.

Hood River Disc Golf Course
Wow! The park is ready for spring, and summer. Expect this spring, and summer to be the busiest season this park has ever seen! Last year at this time there were about 4 of us regulars. When I left today at noon the park was packed with people I've never even seen before! It brings a tear to me eye. It worked. SO! TO WHOEVER MOVED THE TEE SIGN FOR 3! welcome to the new and improved Hood River Disc Golf Course
Thank you Dylan, and Western Edge Tree Trimming in Hood River, OR. Thank you to all the people who have helped me get this course where it is. This course plays tough now, and has many shot options on most holes. For a 1,500ft course it surprisingly gives all the pros who come to our events trouble. In fact a pro has not won a single SFDGC event. Its deceiving, and keeps you hooked. Every week I see guys struggling to bring themselves to leave! We are not done by a long shot. More improvements are coming..........

PAC MAN Dylan hooked up the huge pile of wood chips on the side of 8s fairway. THIS IS WHAT WE HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR! Thank You Dylan. Much appreciated. SO! Tomorrow, I will be down there filling in our greens, some tees, and some walking paths. If any want to help pass the word. Peace.

Thanks for the props Lee, and thanks Stix, and Rhodes for helping me turn 9 into masterpiece! The park looks brand new after today. More to come. Including Poison Oak control. Scott Baker, and me are going to do some oak control in a few weeks. Keep your eyes peeled for trouble spots so we can get that shit. Peace

ATTENTION SFDGC TAG HOLDERS
I am really glad everyone is excited about tags. I began the league thinking nobody would give a rats ass, and to my surprise tags are a big hit. I love the idea of our own league, but the Born2Bfly league is in our neighborhood, and fully operational. Perhaps next fall I will start another tag league, but for now I encourage all of you to get a tag from Justin Gaston.

Hey hosers. Nick here to tell you that spring is on the way! That means its COURSE MAINTENANCE TIME!!!! YEAH!!!! Before you crack your 23rd beer and celebrate please finish reading this post. FRIDAY MARCH 14th I will be at the park repairing the tee box for 9 with some crew. We are going to flatten it out, and hopefully establish an actual box. ALSO. The ever dreaded ankle twisting 4 tee box will be dealt with.

Most of you know that the spring/summer bag tag league death star is currently operational. This league wont have TDGS.com postings. Updates will be posted on this news feed, and through posts at the Hood River Disc Golf Course. Your $5 buy in is going to some awesome stuff. Sweet turnout today. Great game out there! James parking the destroyer on 4 every round, Paul slaying the tomahawk on 9 for birdie on lunchbuster, stix owning the stalker, and Rhodes killing putts. Woody got drunk and lost. See u guys next week!

Sick games today boys!! Woody nailed 2 60+ft putts back to back on 3 & 4! James came an inch from acing 6 tomahawk through the woods!! I was spotting and that shot was epic. ( he actually threw an epic. He was expecting to loose it! Ha!) fun times!
