Queen City Disc Golf Club
Est. 2016
The Queen City Disc Golf Club was established in 2016 by Bill and Norma Bruce. The idea was to build a disc golf community and bring eyeryone together as a group. Manchester is the largest City in the state and we figured there was going to be a large local disc golf community forming. The Hollows Disc Golf Course was coming to Manchester soon.
.
Working closely with the Parks and Rec Dept in Manchester it was decided they would move forward and build a course in Manchester. The city wanted to go big and they did. Don Pinard of Manchester Parks and Rec Dept got the ball rolling and brought Eric McCabe the 2010 World Champion to design the course.Soon after the Hollows came into being. Don had big plans for the city and the new disc golf park. He talked about adding more courses in the city and bringing world class disc golf tournaments to Manchester thus generation tons of revenue for the city..He had a plan and I was the person that would run the tournaments and bring disc golf to the level needed to become a world class destination.
Norma andI have put our heart and soles into supporting disc golf in the area. Since The Hollows was built we have worked endless hours to bring the Hollows to the levels Don had envisioned. We started out running Birdie events and Ace Runs and other events that the disc golf companies offered. Soon I moved to running PDGA Tournaments have have not looked back.
We managed to get the Hollows built as well as adopting the park. We now run the weekly summer disc golf league at the Hollows as well as the winter tag league at the Hollows.. We run many other tournaments throughout the southern part of the state as well. It's been a ton of work but I love it and Norma is such a wonderful person and sole mate that she is right there with me .

Winter Hardcore League at the Hollows.
We will be holding league tomorrow and hope to see everyone there. We have a good ace pot right now and it is waiting for you to come take it. Winter League has been pretty consistent with an average of 20 to 25 players each week. Not bad considering all the bad weather these players have endured. I (Breakin Chains Disc Golf) will be adding an extra CTP tomorrow to spice it up a little. See you all there.

Today we had 28 players show up for the first week of winter league. That's pretty good first day. The weather was in the 30's and the sun was bright. Fred Lusky took it down today and Tammy Coburn won the CTP. No Ace was hit today brining the pot to $52.00 for next week.
Bring a friend next Sunday. Lets get out there for some disc golf fun . See ya on Sunday.
