Rob,
That is exciting news! Well done!

I am sorry to report that I wont be able to attend Saturdays work day b/c I'm already paid up & pumped up for this weekends Sunflower State Games tournament (Crestview Park in Topeka on Sat. & Sun.). I can help on a later date if needed.

Hope all goes well Saturday, don't forget to take plenty o pictures of this historic event.

Alright everyone, I have some great news. The Moon Lake Disc Golf Course has received its final approval, and we're good to go for installing the course. So as of right now, we're gonna hit it hot and heavy this Saturday morning at 9:00 AM. As is stands now we have about 5-6 people already volunteering their time, trucks, and very appreciated labor. So if you feel like helping, we'll be meeting at the Fort Riley Conference Center at 9:00 AM to get under way. Depending on how many ... more

I will not be able to make that 5:30 time. I do plan to go to Fairmont tonight, but it will be later (exact time still unknown).

Maybe I'll see some of you guys if our rounds overlap.

LOST: I forgot a UV Innova Mini (turns purple in the sun, white in the shade) at Warner Park today. If you find it, could you please return it to me.

Thanks!

Mark,
Now I see what you are talking about on the league notes from Wednesday. Turns out the Bag Tag League is the one that allows me to post "Notes" as part of the score. NOT, the Points League as I had earlier recalled..

Anyhoo... I guess I can include the names of the people with non-numbered tags that were in attendance each week in the post round notes. However, doesn't that defeat the purpose of NOT joining the Bag Tag league?

I'm not sure what the purpose is?

I scheduled a round on this site for 2:00 Sunday. Super Class or Putter Round
We will be moving baskets mid round since it is the end of the month.

I can help you guys and will throw a round with you on Sunday. Just name the time.

I can help move baskets, plus I need some Super Class disc throwing practice before next weeks tourney in Salina.

How does Sunday sound?

It's hot, but is anyone interested in moving the baskets at Warner sometime this weekend?
How about a round using only a Super Class or a putter?

In case you have not heard about the Sunflower State Games: http://www.sunflowergames.com/disc-golf

This is a great opportunity to help promote the sport. The first year I went was 2009 and it was a small turnout, maybe 25-30 people. Last year the Crestview shelter house was full. If the Disc Golf event could outgrow one course it would make an impact with the general public. Plus it would be a good excuse for the LSDiscs guys to set up Big Shunga again :)

Who knows, it might even help to leverage a permanent course there someday?

I hope there is a good DFOK turnout!

Good morning!

For those of you who have chosen to not receive DFOK Club News, but do follow this Talk page, here's a reminder that tonight is the START of the 2012-2013 DFOK Bag Tag League and the Summer DFOK Points League.

It may be a warm one tonight, but we're still going to have a good time. Hope to see you there.

I'm going to the BRO league. If anyone wants to go let me know. I'm leaving a little early to get there around 3:30.

I'll definitely be there. Hopefully we can get some "townies" to make the drive out from Manhattan. This will most likely be the last time we will be able to get a full 18 in for league play....last chance for someone to beat Rob's recent -10 before the RCC course record is sealed in stone for posterity!

The grass was mowed at the Conference Center one to two weeks ago and it's still pretty decent. So, Riley's BRO league is on for this Sunday at 4:00PM!!! Let's get at least one more league at the Conference Center to bid it farewell before we move the course up to Moon Lake. Depending on how many people show up, I'd like to play something different, be it doubles, or Wolf, which is pretty damn fun. Looking forward to seeing everyone there!

I just signed up for Sunflower State Games http://www.sunflowergames.com/disc-golf
If you are not doing anything that weekend, come help DFOK bring some medals medals home.
