I need to do some things around the house this morning but I might show up on a course sometime this afternoon. I can't really commit to anything.

I can't make it on Sat at Riley because I am invited to a post-Japan Festival BBQ party by K-State Japanese student Association at Tuttle, ~5:00 pm. Of course I will go for a round at Tuttle before the BBQ, probably ~3:00 pm.
Kevin Zane April 21, 2011 at 11:38pm
Well, I guess that makes it an easy choice.... anyway, if there is no rain I will be out for a round at Tuttle or Warner later. If anyone else is interested in getting out give me a heads up.
I might be able to do Saturday out at Riley after 5ish if that works out for anyone.

Unfortunately, circumstances will not let me play today. However, my wife and I are planning to get at least one round in this weekend (four-day for me!!), and the Riley course seems as good a place as any!!! I'll post more info here later!

I would have an easy day today. I am not brave enough to take the gamble.
Kevin Zane April 21, 2011 at 9:17pm
Is anyone still considering taking the gamble on the weather for Riley this evening???? I might be game if we can get a few people in on it.

Due to a combination of events, I'm sorry to say that I'm out / events tonight.

For those of you who might be interested, I am posting a bunch of photos from last week's trip to Wichita, KS. I scouted out the Oak Park and Herman Hill courses. Too see them go to http://twitter.com/D_F_O_K I can't wait to go play them with a bunch of y'all.

That Thursday is more do-able for me.
Bryan Nagle April 12, 2011 at 6:28pm
Hmmmmm, ok it seems that trying to do something this Thurs on post is a bit short notice for most. How about we try and shoot for next Thurs (21 April)? That should give some time to plan for it.
Mark Kewley April 12, 2011 at 5:46am
I want to play doubles and go to the fort but for some reason I decided to put in a garden pond. I will be at Warner Wednesday but that is probably it until the weekend.
Kevin Zane April 11, 2011 at 11:38pm
I'm dying to get out and play Riley, but unfortunately I will not be in town for the thursday round.
If you all enjoy it and want to go back out, I can usually make Mondays work, sometimes on Friday or late afternoons on weekends.
I also wouldn't count on seeing me out at "Tuttle tuesdays" too often as that is the one day of the week that I absolutely must be at work for the evening shift. >:(

Brian,
Thanks for organising another exciting round. Yes, Rick is right. I haven't been there before, so I am certainly interested in giving a shot. Let me check my work schedule to see if I can make it. I would also like to know how to get there (how to pass the gate, etc.)
Bryan Nagle April 11, 2011 at 9:36pm
Ok, I've "scheduled" a round for this Thurs evening at 1730 (5:30 pm for you civilian types). Oh, and barring some type of "emergency" at work, I'll come out for the doubles tomorrow night too! Did I read that someone was trying to start "Fairmont Mondays" as well? Not sure I can play tonight, but...
Rick Petrie April 11, 2011 at 9:26pm
Bryan,
Yes, I am interested in play at Ft. Riley soon. I'm pretty sure Kevin Z., Taki & Daisuke are also as those three have not yet played Ft. Riley. IF, and I stress if, I play Ft. Riley this week it would have to be Thursday night.
Also, please keep in mind that Tom Old is kicking off Tuttle Tuesdays this week so a lot of the DFoKers will be going to Tuttle tomorrow night. If you missed that you might consider coming over and play in that Doubles format. It's pretty fun too.

So I understand that there is some interest in playing the course here on Post (FT Riley). I am definitely up for a round here, the only bad afternoon/evening would be Fridays. (They hold a "Leaders Call" at the Conference Center and the vehicle traffic is ludicrous. Unless you don't mind parking at the Hospital and walking.) Since Wednesday is spoken for this week, if anyone wants to play here tonight, tomorrow or Thursday, I'm game!!
Rick Petrie April 10, 2011 at 9:06pm
Taki,
It looks as though you were focused on performing well on the morning round, after all that's when the bag tags were at stake. (joking) There's no sand bagging in bag tag leagues. (kind of joking) That's what happened to me. I played well in the morning round because I wanted the taste of a single digit tag again. Then of course I lost it in the second round to Kevin & Mark. OUCH!
(You know I had to tie in the bag tag league somehow. :-)
Seriously though, a mo ...

You could have beaten me with two 59's if you could have pulled off the same score second round. I've never seen anyone improve so quickly. Great job Taki
Kevin Zane April 23, 2011 at 6:45pm
I'm going to plan on playing right after work at about 5. Not sure where yet but if anyone is going to be out around then I'm down for anywhere.
