We best be getting a car pool together for tomorrow. The weathers supposed to be super tasty and I just got my first shipment of discs in from the Gateway factory and you know I'm going to be selling as many as I can.

Dang! I will not be competing in the Salina Ace Race event because it conflicts with this schedule:

I should also mention that there are some people talking about pulling together a 2012 ACE RACE in Manhattan. It would be premature for me to say who would be hosting it, but I can say it's probably not going to be a DFOK funded event because we still need to pay back $ to the members who fronted their own $ to purc ... more

I would say there's a 50/50 chance of there being a Manhattan, KS Ace Race this year.

I like the idea of having an ACE Race here. DFOK is going to have a meeting soon. This would be a good topic. Anyone is welcome. Keep an eye on this site for information.

I have a couple shout outs I would like to make. These are serious, not at all meant to be poking fun at anyone.

1. Kevin Clouse; I appreciate hearing your interest in establishing ways to raise money for our local disc golf club. I agree that one great way to do it is at our regular league events. Regrettably, there simply wasn't enough time to have a quality conversation about that topic prior to league night. We're due to have another DFOK Club Meeting at the MHK Public Library v ... more

2. Mark Kewley; Thanks for demonstrating part of the Bag Tag "trade up" & "trade down" league rules that might not have been stated clearly enough thus far. You definitively did us a favor by pointing out your concerns tonight. To clarify to all, a player can change types of tags one time during the season. More specifically, they can only make that type of tag change at the "check-in" of an officially scheduled bag tag league event. Well done.

3. DFOK Disc Golf Swap Meet? I'm thinking we need to have one at Fairmont Park on some August Saturday morning. Heck, we could probably have one every 4 to 6 months the way DG is growing locally... Think of all the cool disc golf deals! If there is interest, we could pick a date in LATE August to give us time it promote it too (on this site, the KDGA site, flyers at dg courses, etc.).

A fellow bag tag league member (Bryce Williams) found his tag #12 and returned it to me. It will be available for him to pick up at the next Warner Wednesday he can attend OR elsewhere if needed (tell him to send me a message to set up a time & place).
