Are we having beer league doubles this Sunday with the taggers playing safari at noon?
Mike Kemp September 9, 2012 at 9:16pm
Hey league players! Our league party will be held on Sunday September 30th. 4 p.m at Camp Francis! We will be unloading the remainder of the ace pool, along with awards and other prizes as well. CDGA is not supplying pizza this year, because we are using the extra funds on more prizes for you! So everyone bring a dish to pass and CDGA will have a limited number of hot dogs. BYOB and bring your discs we have an awesome party in the works...

I just made the order for the ace race. If your name is on the list, please show up. If it isn't and you would like to play, go ahead and show up and there may be a few who don't show so you can snag their packages. Remember, all you need to bring with you is your $25, a towel and a drink. There are 4 packages available at a first come first served basis from people who have dropped out. If you want to play and didn't make the list, this is your opportunity. See you all there!!

Dont forget Aug 24 is the deadline to register for the State Championship. After that date your berth will no longer be honored. Remind your friends.

This is the last week to sign up for the ace race. The order will be put in next week. Don't procrastinate and sign up before its too late.

The tag 5$ is extra pay outs for league, not all of league pay outs. You know adding to the pot so people get more stuff. The 35$ for leagues pays your league fees, goes into the league pay outs, the shirts, the towels, all the CTPs you get each week ECT. You can always voice your opinions on league or any other issues as you have shown time and time again. I am not sure what you are expecting as far as leagues go, There's nothing to vote or decide on. We meet Tuesdays, we play a round you get your points...What hypothetical situation can you think of where a vote would just be solely about leagues and not something that affects the club as a whole. (Other than which round to play, 10am or 6pm)

so 5 bucks for league payout at the end of the year. so what about the 35 bucks that everyone in the league paid already will go for. so if u play in the league u have no say or voting rites on league issues unless u purchase a tag.

Tags are in and here's how it works! $15 a tag. What does the tag get you. -CDGA membership. -Ability to compete for bragging rights and other benefits.
Break down of the $15
$5 of each tag goes directly to the club funds to help with League payouts, course maintenance, etc...
$10 Each goes into the prize fund for the tags.
All cash. 1/3rd the field will get cash. If we have 20 people,
breakdown would roughly be.
How to compete for tags.
Every Tuesday league round, people are expected to put there tags up for grabs! That's the whole field not just your card. Larissa or Myself will be present to collect the tags prior to league rounds and pass out the tags at the end of each of the round.
Once your done with your round, we will hand tags back out to the best score that round. If there happens to be a tie, The person who had the lowest tag to start the round gets the lowest available tag at that point.
People are encouraged to play for tags when and where ever! Everyone who buys a tag will be capable of submitting tag updates on the scene. Each person is encouraged if they have time to try and keep their tag number current on the scene so people can see who has what tag!
If at the end of any league round you may be in a hurry and don't want to wait for the tags to be passed back out, You may grab the highest numbered tag and bolt.
If you're in a tournament with another player and playing the same layout as them, Please check with each person prior to the tournament starting that you are also battling for tags. During tournaments, Tags will be exchanged at the end with the total score after both rounds.
Bags should be kept in/on your bag at all times to allow for impromptu bag tag challenges!
You may purchase tags from myself or Larissa on Sundays/Tuesdays. You can also contact me on the scene if you'd like to make special arrangements.

I heard back today - the MSAE disc golf outing was cancelled for this Friday due to lack of interest.
RED Jon' Burns June 4, 2012 at 12:18pm
Would anyone be interested in a weekend camping trip to Sleepy Hallow? I have been trying to gather up some people who like camping and disc golfing. It's more fun with more people. Not looking for a sanctioned event or any thing like that but maybe a 2 day event. No pay outs, No divisions, just good times and bragging rights for the winner.
Mike Kemp June 3, 2012 at 6:47pm
Skid, I might be able to make that one as it is on my birthday, but no guarantees...
David Skidmore June 1, 2012 at 6:20pm
Blake - I asked the guy heading up the outing for additional information and he says there has been low registration numbers. I told him you were interested, I want to play, and Michele Ramon also asked for details. He said they would make the final decision Monday and let me know. I think they have MSAE discs left from last year.....
I'll post whatever I find out right away on Monday.
Blake Walters June 1, 2012 at 1:08pm
Well I'll be damned...Whats the entry fee?! Got discs this year for it too?
David Skidmore June 1, 2012 at 12:58pm
Blake - there is another disc golf outing being put on by the same group - the Michigan Society of Association Executives (MSAE) on June 8th at 1:00 PM. Everyone is welcome once again. (even you who won the big prize last eyar)
Blake Walters June 1, 2012 at 1:23am
I would as well! I played a CDGA sponsored disc golf outing that Dave set up last year for a professional organization he is apart of, and had a great time. He may even remember that I came away with a phone number as well :-)
Chris Smith June 1, 2012 at 12:50am
Hey, just throwing it out there, I would have a blast playing "ambassador" for a group that wanted to learn about disc golf if the club is ever looking for a volunteer.
