As an out of towner and non club member... I am going with the single course vote. Which is both rounds being played in Charlotte. Less hassle and it would give the opportunity to help break in the new holes. My big curiosity is why the non sanction for pros and sanction for ams in your C-tier event in May. Is that legal?

Chad, thanks for the response. After talking to Robert it sounds like there has always been the option of a youth division in the leagues. It's just not something that anyone signed up for. That may be the way to go. I know that my kids say they are interested. I am sure that there are probably more. It would just be a matter of getting the word out. Let me know if I'm understanding correctly and I'll work on finding a few other kids that might want to play to fill out the ... more

Sounds like a great idea, Chris. My only problem is that my plate is full. Between working all the time and running regular league this summer I am spent. I'm not going to raise my hand and volunteer for this one.

What would you guys think about CDGA doing a youth "instructional" league over the summer? If the registration included a lite all purpose disc that they could use in the league and maybe a t-shirt to spread the word, then all you would need is someone willing to organize it. I'm not raising my hand too high but I've got three kids that would sign up if it existed, so I would be willing to help get it off the ground.

The 14th of February (Valentine's Day) does not seem like a good day for a CDGA meeting. It might prevent some from attending.

I'm wondering what I could do to help with hole 12. The basket and the sign are never in sync. I played today and checked the sign. It said something to the effect of "Notice the basket is back on the ridge". I threw my drive walked up and saw the post capped off at the top of the ridge. I walked around the corner, found the basket behind the ridge and started the hole again.

It's one of those pet peeves that I think bother other people too. Rather than just complain ... more

Great news from Jim Knudson:

His company will donate $75 to CDGA for any person(s) in a league or referred by someone in a league that gets Dishnetwork or DirecTV, or switches from Dish to Direct, or switches from Direct to Dishnetwork through us.

No one has to spend more than they are currently paying and 90% of the time the new customer gets a promo saving them a couple hundred dollars their first year alone.

More information to come!!!!

Sounds like things are looking up for next year. A new sponsor and 8 berths. Looks like we may have something good going here.

Thanks to all who donated their league prize money to the ERHS course! We raised nearly $250 that night. We plan on having 9 in this month.

I reserved us a portapotty for Lincoln Logs! $80 for the weekend (same cost as for 1 day), Bryner's Septic Services on Spicerville. Pay on delivery, so someone will have to meet the delivery person when that is set up. If someone finds a better deal, we can still cancel.
