What about the Soirée? When will there be new baskets? Can there always be a long set up like Patapsco, and then move the shorter pin locations around? Either way the baskets are due for an upgrade

TJ. Those baskets are fine. I am sure if you raised the money for new baskets they would put them in. The current baskets were all donated to the course from individual sponsors.

What you could do is start a campaign to get the old mach 3 baskets from Calvert when they make the switch. I was told they are going to just recycle them, but I am sure if you can get enough people together to ask MNCPPC to donate them to Seneca. They may just do it. I've tried many times to get them to donate them, but had no luck.

You would think with the kind of money Montgomery County has they would have invested in new baskets long ago considering how much play that course gets

Problem is that it's not Mont Co. Seneca is a State park and it all has to do with the state budget. It has taken Calvert DGC 22 years for MNCPPC to put any money into Calvert DGC. And that only happened due to FAA regulations changing and them having to top about 200+ trees to be within regula ... more

Problem is that it's not Mont Co. Seneca is a State park and it all has to do with the state budget. It has taken Calvert DGC 22 years for MNCPPC to put any money into Calvert DGC. And that only happened due to FAA regulations changing and them having to top about 200+ trees to be within regulations. Getting money from government is not easy. It took Rockburn 24 yrs to get new baskets and new layout, even though the design isn't the best. IT ALL DEPENDS ON WHO IS ON YOUR SIDE AND IF THEY LIKE DISC GOLF.

I was told I had to donate money to “friends of the park”, suggest what the money be used for, then hope it happened. I need to start a letter writing campaign to Montgomery county parks to see if we can get another course somewhere in upper county
