If interested in playing please help out by bringing 18 one dollar bills to help playing the game easier . We will try to have singles available but bringing your own will help . Well as long as we're opening up this can of worms, I lost a star wraith on hole #3 pro tees during states. Kinda just a lame shot that hyzered out left (maybe over the trail?) and deserved to get lost. Anyway, it's a first run, white, max weight star wraith with a snowflake stamp that was the 2006 Innova dealer/promo disc. It's pretty noticeable and I haven't seen another one in AK yet. Has my name and number on the inside rim. Would really like to get ol' Lloyd Chistmas back, he's been good to me. Thanks for your eyes at Kincaid!

Lost my Captain America Boss on hole 6 pro tee. Kept going towards the soccer field. Has my name and number. Reverse dyed Star Boss. Reward if found. Not to many people have the captain America stamp or dye be on the look out. Thanks

At States, I lost a red and black flame dyed Avenger SS on hole 4 at Kincaid (I threw a huge ani from the pro tee that never came back.) My name and number were in it, but probably quite faded. This disc as more sentimental value than anything else (first disc I ever dyed and one of the first discs I bought in AK.) It would be much appreciated if found, it finds it way back to me.

Good morning all,

After seeing the state coordinator ballots go out, I realized I completely forgot about discussing sanctioned tournament scheduling and sending out the document I wrote explaining how I will handle scheduling if re-elected. Unfortunately, my personal computer kicked the bucket a few weeks ago, and I am waiting for the hard drive to be recovered if possible. I haven't had a chance to retype it up, so here is the general idea:

In the past, I've tried to work with the ADGA when it was the previous leadership to work together on the schedule. This did not happen as fairly as it could/should have, since their schedule was already set by themselves. So I went on a first come first serve basis, which is not ideal. To make the scheduling more democratic, I would have each region give a tentative schedule to the State Coordinator by the end of October each year. The SC would then come up with a statewide schedule based on the regional proposed schedules by the end of November. At this point, the leaders of each club/region can discuss changes to the schedule that need to be made with the SC and other clubs/TDs. The final schedule will be completed by mid-January

The clubs/regions are as follows:
Southeast AK
Kenai peninsula
Anchorage (including hilltop, PC, girdwood)
Matsu
Interior

I'm not sure how to deal with PC and Girdwood, any suggestions are welcome. Of course, if any TD wants to run a event at any course, they will need to work with the local club for initial scheduling. Financing events will be on the TD/club organizing the event, although other clubs are encouraged to help as well.

A couple of things that the SC should keep in mind, from my perspective, are:
1. Recognition that Anchorage has the highest number of competitive golfers and is essentially centrally located. Therefore Anchorage should have the most sanctioned tournaments, assuming there are TDs willing to run events there.
2. Events on holiday weekends should be distributed among the regions, not all in one area every holiday weekend.
3. Either the Alaska Championships move yearly, and prospective TDs bid for it when the regional schedule is submitted -or- the USDGC bid changes events/regions yearly. I think every one wants a chance to win the Biggest title on their home course, but this topic can be discussed among all the clubs' leaders.

I am proposing this system for a couple of reasons. It seems the past the schedule was decided on by only a few people, and made to benefit only a few groups or people while all the other TDs had to work around their schedule. This system is more democratic, because of the proposal of schedules and following discussions and compromises to the final schedule. This is the process for scheduling sanctioned events in Alaska that I would employ if re-elected. Please forward this to anyone who is interested who I may have missed, or who asks about it; Thanks. To break in the new Short 9 and welcome Brian Schweberger to Alaska we will be holding a cash dubs at 7 pm at Hilltop . 9 buck buy in with 5 going to payout . We will put pro's in seperate pools so no pro 's are teamed up . Hope to see you there

I just want to say thank you to all of the members and officers putting in so much time on Kincaid for the state championships. If I could get into town and had free time I would be there to help you all. I know how much work it can take to make these things happen and really appreciate everyone putting in the effort to make states what it is!
