What's with all the overpricing on this site?

Half of the posts in the Trading Posts are retail discs trying to fetch double or even triple retail prices. Do people really expect others to buy a $16 dollar disc for $35? Instead of trying to pinch pennies out of fellow disc golfers' pockets, why not work together and make reasonable trades/sale prices so we can help grow the sport?

Just my two cents, its pretty upsetting when greed comes before appreciation of the sport.

Well said!

i agree the common new and used discs are priced the same as new. maybe some out there are rare?

Jessica Ferris   May 21, 2014 at 11:04pm

There are some rarer ones out there, but asking $20 for a common disc or for cheaper plastic is pretty common on here lately

Brent Faubert   May 22, 2014 at 9:35am

Details I think are important. $20 for a NEW disc SHIPPED is within reason(a little high but not a whole lot). Greedy peeps charging $20 plus shipping, need to come back to reality. Just because you see discs that are "pearly", "blueberry", "marbley", and you have a similar one doesn't make yours the same, or even the same price

Brent Faubert   May 22, 2014 at 9:35am

Learn what's what before you price, if you don't know search or post and ask

Brent Faubert   May 22, 2014 at 9:38am

Discs are only worth what people are willing to pay, that's it. You want $101 for a disc? Your searching for a needle in a haystack and good luck to ya!(Sorry Brandon, had to steal your pricing for this post lol)

Brandon Schick   May 22, 2014 at 11:01am

You guys couldn't have said it any better! There sure are some rare discs out there worth a lot of money, and as a collector I'm not against that. eBay advanced search is a great way to check recent market prices for any disc, I wish more people would do more research before expecting a ... more

Jessica Ferris   May 22, 2014 at 2:09pm

I love that tool, it really helps determine if a disc really is worth a little extra

brett m   May 22, 2014 at 2:30pm

always check prices before I post. No reason to gouge fellow discers. I've even took pretty big hits just to help some guys out. Good deals is what its all about.

Brandon Schick   May 22, 2014 at 2:42pm

I guess some people don't understand that sentimental value doesn't often increase the value to everyone else

brett m   May 22, 2014 at 2:46pm

Ive gotten some huge deals in auctions. So I'll pass those on with other stuff I'm selling. Love when you get a 40 dollar disc for 10. So someone usually benefits from that

Skyler Stoker   May 22, 2014 at 5:32pm

I crack up every time I see someone post up a brand new disc they literally just bought from a shop and think they can resell it for $30 just because its a specific color or color/stamp combo.

brett m   May 22, 2014 at 6:11pm

yeah know what ya mean skyler. that's why hes still sitting on all that plastic.

Jessica Ferris   May 22, 2014 at 7:14pm

Wonder if he'll ever figure it out? Lol

Skyler Stoker   May 22, 2014 at 7:30pm

It's funny a name hasn't been stated and we all know who we are talking about

brett m   May 22, 2014 at 7:42pm

clueless.

Calib Stewart   May 23, 2014 at 12:43am

I don't get who you're talking about. Message me and tell me! But does anyone know how much a 10X KC pro eagle is worth? Pretty much mint. Faded ink on back.

brett m   May 23, 2014 at 9:06am

calid check dgcr. my guess would be 35-40 is what I've seen them go for

[member not found]   May 26, 2014 at 3:06pm

You could use that 10x as a mug coaster

Nate Upton   May 27, 2014 at 1:11pm

Did you figure it out Calibration?

Nate Upton   May 27, 2014 at 1:12pm

sorry, Calib?

Calib Stewart   May 27, 2014 at 1:34pm

Well Brett said it would go for 35-40 and I think that would be fair. Do you know much about it?

Nate Upton   May 27, 2014 at 1:51pm

I just saw a couple on eBay, one was $30, the other was $50, but they were both new.

Calib Stewart   May 27, 2014 at 2:37pm

I'm sure I could get around 40-45 for it then. Thanks for the help!

brett m   May 27, 2014 at 6:30pm

fb auctions. people bid nice for that stuff

Calib Stewart   May 27, 2014 at 10:31pm

Would I be able to put a minimal bid on it?

brett m   May 28, 2014 at 12:55am

on disc this dis auctions you can. dollar and free disc golf auctions, no. if its that nice you shouldn't have a problem getting what you're looking for

Calib Stewart   May 28, 2014 at 1:07am

It is very nice. Just don't know anyone in demand of it.

Calib Stewart   May 28, 2014 at 1:12am

http://imgur.com/djtDbr5 that's the picture of the disc when I bought it. Never threw it. Hung it on my wall so same condition.

Jessica Ferris   May 28, 2014 at 5:36am

just make sure you mention the ink, or better yet, show a pic of it. Collectors will be very interested in knowing how bad the ink is

Calib Stewart   May 28, 2014 at 9:12am

Not bad at all. Very faded on the back.

brett m   May 28, 2014 at 1:20pm

Pics of front back and any ink/damage. Always a demand for KCPro on there. Go on and watch some of the auctions. Probably do better on Innova Only auction page on there

Jessica Ferris   May 28, 2014 at 1:26pm

just make sure to tell us when you do decide to post it;-)
