Are they max weight or overweight? They had issues and molded some over max weight, so can you put these on a scale and make sure they weigh out properly.
Dont have a scale but both say 174
Alright, never mind.
just a heads up, from Prodigy; Prodigy estimates that ~200 to 400 D1 discs were produced at 3+ grams over the PDGA weight limit of 174.3 grams. just a heads up, from Prodigy; Prodigy estimates that ~200 to 400 D1 discs were produced at 3+ grams over the PDGA weight limit of 174.3 grams. Prodigy is willing to replace overweight discs sent to vendors or already sold to players. Prodigy has been working with the PDGA to establish quality control measures that will ensure compliance with PDGA standards in the future. The PDGA recognizes that some players prefer to throw discs that exceed the PDGA weight limit. But if a disc thrown by a player is confirmed by the TD to be over its legal weight, the owner is subject to a penalty ranging from 2 throws to disqualification depending on the severity of the infraction. Please think twice about knowingly using overweight discs so we can level the playing field for all players in PDGA events.
have a roc2 trade
Sean's right they posted that on Facebook I'd watch for those.
I tried looking up the max specs for a disc just curious where its at? could you post a link for us? I know that the condor goes up to 200 grams. I've never seen any disc even be checked at an event so the its pretty cool that they would give you a replacement.

Same rules for all discs. GUIDELINES & PROCEDURES FOR MANUFACTURERS TO CERTIFY THAT EQUIPMENT COMPLIES WITH PDGA TECHNICAL STANDARDS, Section I(C): Hi-Tech is the designation given to all discs submitted and approved for PDGA competition. Unless otherwise specified or restricted by the tournament director, all discs on the PDGA Approved list may be used in regular PDGA competitions. Hi-Tech approved discs must: . . . (4) not exceed 8.3g per cm of outside disc diameter; (5) not exceed a maximum weight of 200g; This: http://www.pdga.com/files/documents/PDGA_approved_discs_060310.pdf is the official PDGA list of approved discs, their diameters, and max weights. A 21.1cm diameter disc like most drivers is maxed at 175.1g. 21.2 discs like the Aviar, Teebird, and Valk are maxed at 176. the Roc and Cobra are 21.7 diameter maxed at 180.1. The Zephyer is 24.1 maxed by limit at 200g. Weigh your discs.
Hope that information helps :)
yes it does thanks. looks like there is a 3 gram allowance anyway?? But still have never seen someone check a disc at an event. I dont think most of these protos will be thrown anyway. Who knows it might make them worth more money in the long run if they are over weight.
Someone informed me my link in previous post was invalid, I apologize here is the correct link: http://www.pdga.com/tech-standards . You can open a PDF or XLS file of Approved Discs.
And I am not sure where you see that you get a 3g allowance and would not recommend trying to do that in an event. And that rule only comes into effect if someone calls another on that rule. And I am not sure where you see that you get a 3g allowance and would not recommend trying to do that in an event. And that rule only comes into effect if someone calls another on that rule. Another rule with the same effect is having a PDGA rule book on you during events, if found without one it's a mandatory 1 stroke per hole. I have seen the Rulebook rule enforced, and I am sure the only reason the weight rule hasn't been enforced much in local aea's in simple because people didn't know about it. Personally if it was a wicked windy day @ a tourney and I ask a guy what disc he threw and what weight and if it was illegal I would mention it to the TD as the competitiveness should be fair and I would not put an illegal disc in my bag for a tourney knowingly. The rules are there for a reason, to be fair for all.
I agree with you. It seems so petty for people to knowingly cheat. Prodigy seems like they have it under control with getting people replacements for the overweight discs.
Yeah, a few hiccups were to be foreseen for a brand new company with such hype and so many orders for discs, but glad they have noticed it early and are taking the proper steps to correct it for the future. However the rules for weights are probably used more in the cases of Major and A-Tier tourney's in the Pro/Cash divisions.
Have they sold yet? Would like to to pay cash...
I have one of each left
Alright and which one is which? blue D1? weight?
I would trade this set of discs for either one, Blizzard Destroyer fairly used. Blizzard Dominator (New) and Z Line Buzzz new
do you still have a d4
still available?
I could really use that blue proto D1!!!
