This disc is just nutty! The outside rim catches the chains and the spiral you see in the pic is actually a 2/3 inch deep spiral extruding from the back of the disc which is used for gripping and putting. Very unique disc in good condition and it putts surprisingly well! No

Yes I believe it is. It says " PDGA Approved " on the back of the disc.
They were, but their legality was rescinded after a push from certain major manufacturers. The PDGA Approved stamp was part of the mold and wasn't removed from the mold. Kinda like a big FU to the other manufacturers.
Wow thanks for the info. I was shocked to see that PDGA approved label on the back. Seemed to weird to be legal to me! Do you know of any other discs that say " PDGA aprroved " but actually aren't? Thanks Josh

As far as PDGA Approved premolded/stamped I can't say for sure. I don't know if the wheel has ever been approved it kind of fell off the face of the earth just like all non-approved discs and anything by Quest AT.
