Don't like the R&R layout. It waters down the field. Baggers play in the no cash div., knowing they will get good payouts....while the players who want to play for money compete against pros. That might as well
be donating with the (pro)players around here. How about cash for Am 1, 2 divisions? There's gonna be fking 70 am2's and 10 pros anyway
and 10 pro's anyway
Joe Anttila September 14, 2009 at 9:17pm
Please register me for Intermediate. #28709. Thanks duders.
Daemon Stahlin September 14, 2009 at 8:47pm
if someone plays in the no cash division and is not on the lead card, they don't even have to putt. just drive and pick up.
Scott Ransley September 14, 2009 at 8:35pm
For what it's worth, I disliked the R&R format. It rewarded one great shot more than two good rounds. This would be worse at Indy, where the OBs make for interesting risk/reward decisions. If your only playing for CTPs, score is not as important.

loved the R and R format....however, I vote in absentia for standard tourney formant for this one.....this is the next event I am really looking forward to....

***ATTENTION ALL***
We will be deciding the format for Union Strikes today at our meeting (Corner Brew - 6:30). We will either go with the standard format or something similar to what we did at Roc & Rolling Hills.
For all of you who played Roc & Rolling: What did you like/dislike about the format. Please voice any questions/comments/concerns.

I stopped by the beach today. Big crowd out there. After talking with Brian it looks like we will have to tweak hole 4 and hole 12. The rest of the course will stay pretty much as is. We want to change hole 18 also to make it more interesting / more difficult. More to come soon, but as of now the Picnic Course will go back in right before this tournament. We'll probably do a big doubles on the Saturday before.
