Thanks to everyone who came out and made SpAce Race Round #1 a fun tournament for all! I know there were at least 2 or 3 players who made their first aces ever, which is great. Over all winner was Mateo Hylton with one ace and 19 points total. He works with metal, in more ways than one! The rest of the leader board is as follows: 15 points -- Mat Owens (one ace) 13 points -- Christ Cordova (one ace) 13 points -- Zane Wilson (one ace) 12 points -- Vince Epker 11 points -- Andrew Ev ... more

Way to make the leaderboard, Andrew! Was it #17 you aced? That scorecard that we couldn't find, then found, then chucked, lol, had your hole # for the ace. I'm keeping track of points by the hole for everyone as well.

Congratulations on a well-done tourney! I thought it would be slow going, with lost discs all over the course; but it turned out to flow very well. Lots of fun throwing 3 times with my own discs!

Some years back, a very good friend of mine had two little daughters who though that when people talked to me and called me Tom, they heard MOM. Led to a lot of confusing questions from the girls, so mom changed Tom to "T" for them and it just stayed with me and reminds me of some really great people.

Yeah, I worked in a group of eight people, three of us were "Terry", so I went by "TK" for q few years.

Thanks, TD & TK! Already planning round #2...

Job very well done today at the Space Race, Paul. The scorecards were a bit daunting at first but became a great idea the more we played. Sorry I couldnt stay for the Pay-outs. Im looking forward to the remaining events!! Nice work, Paul and Crew!!

Check out the tee-shirt designs I'm considering printing in the "Pictures" tab. I'm looking for feedback on whether I should go ahead with this.

Changed the series top 3 winners according to 6 best rounds instead of 7. You can still play all 8 and throw out your worst 2 rounds.

I updated the prize info with the following paragraph: Prizes will be given to the highest individual scores in each series round. We'll be aiming to give out prizes to around the top 20% each event, spreading it out some instead of a very top heavy 1st place prize. There will also be an overall series winner for the individual with the highest point total counting their 7 best rounds (allowing for one missed event or throw out your worst score if you've attended all 8 rounds), a ... more

I am net enabled, email etc., but refuse to do facebook. Any alternative available? Maybe through Disc Golf Scene?

Paul Compton-PortlandMobileDiscLab   March 24, 2013 at 11:36pm

Hi Terry, I'd like to keep everything as Facebooked as possible for simplicity's sake. I'm going to start a group there for participant's so we can share feedback and ideas, etc. I'll look at DGS options. For you, of course, I'll find an accommodation, :).

Paul Compton-PortlandMobileDiscLab   March 25, 2013 at 1:04am

Okay, I'll allow people to message me here at DGS for registration, and I'll keep a list of registered players both places.
