TOURNAMENT ANNOUNCEMENT:
We have made this event a PDGA B Tier.
We have relocated the event to Stony Creek Metropark and are working out details with them daily.
The $2 daily pass for those that need them will be covered by the event.
The Players Pack for AMs will consist of:
1 Lucid Dynamic /Latitude Disc (your choice of 3 models), 1 Classic Dynamic Disc Judge, and 1 Discraft mystery disc = 3 discs per player!

you should really go and check out the new layout. a lot is similar, much has changed. ankle deep water has not been an issue for a while which is surprising even with the big flood.

I was there yesterday and it took a turn for the worst. Standing water all over the place. It's worse now than after the big flood

I hate that they changed the points needed for worlds mid-calendar year. I may not reach 750 now since its a 50% increase

Maybe because it wasn't really a tournament, just a single round qualifier? And I don't think they ever posted results but Bongiorno and I tied for first

So what is the word on sanctioning this event? I really think something of this level should be, but am I the only one alone in that thought? If we are all champions, and we are playing for a certain level of pride here, shouldn't we be playing in a sanctioned event as well?

I think weve all played enough by the pdga rules over the last year, we could all use a break from the "serious" side and still have fun...for now anyway

So there you have both sides of the decision, sanction / no sanction. We did our part to raise the added cas / merch. Since a few have actually registered, I found it difficult to make a decision. We have options but like all any event I run, the players need to do their part.

Any reason you discuss online about why it is either sanctioned or not sanctioned is pure speculation. We did not mention rules as one of them so please don't put words in our mouth. 2 rounds of 18? just riverbends? have a cap set at 144 seems high for one course just wondering so I can plan accordingly didn't find the info anywhere

2 rounds of 18. We had it set at 144 thinking if we raised the added cash / merch that players would sign up and I could add a temp 9 holes at River Bends. They were some of the old upper course and Shelby Twp. gave us the thumbs up. Since so few actually have committed, we might move it and keep it as an 18 hole loop twice limiting the cap to 80.
