thanks to everyone who came out on a beautiful sunday at Sims Park Disc Golf Course!! we had a total of 27 teams, with 19 in advanced and 8 in general, which helped net a total of $145 for the course fund!! congrats to team 2nd place (denny velardo and ryan keats), who finished in 1st place in the advanced division with a stellar -20 on the day. team oderus2dope (me and bill perry) finished in second after a CTP with a -17, followed by team hackers (nick schultz and john schwartz) in third round ... more

the field will be capped at 36 teams (72 total players). that leaves room for 11 more teams. walk ups will be accepted also. and don't forget $2 for the ace fund!! i will try to be at the pavilion near hole #1 for registration. if not, i will be near the practice basket. see everyone tomorrow!!!

a great question has been raised regarding the 2nd round, which will be a "worst drive" format round....what happens if there is an ace? my thoughts are that an ace is an ace...it will override the "worst drive" and your team would get credit for the ace. seeing as an ace doesn't happen all that often, i think that's a fair way to play it out. let me know if there are any objections. before this round, the rules, (mandos, OBs, ace rule) will be covered and I will have a little printout to make sure there is no confusion.

So after some discussion, I have decided to make the 2nd round a "worst drive" round using some alternate tees on many of the holes i'll have the alternates marked before the first round, so that you can have an idea of the layout before playing. For the worst drive round, each teammate will drive on the hole. The other team on their card will then decide which drive they will take. The remainder of the hole will be played normal, with best shot being used after that.
