Disc Arts Showcase...
It was awesome to see all of the photography entries into the DAS. I hope to see that expand even more in 2013! I apologize for the slight confusion in the scoring. I had created an entry form for the event but that and some other forms that I created for MAO seemingly disappeared on me Friday when I was loading up for the event.
Winners:
Disc Hand Cut-Jeremy Horton
Disc Plotter Cut-Cassidy Mayne
Photo Action-Brandon Redmond
Photo Scenery-Everyone due to my mistake

Thank you Mark and tournement directors, driving four hours is certainly worth it when one can play in a well run event like the Michigan tourney. What really makes the event special is the way people are treated and how friendly and respectful everyone is about the game of disc golf. Thank You TOM.

So, just some quick stats... The total payouts were 203%. So, for every $1 that a player paid into the event, the players of the event got $2 back in either payouts, player pack retail, full trophy value, or donated items (like the lunch & dinner). The total tour value was $8,912. This includes everything from payouts, player pack retail value, trophies, CTPs, and donations. Thanks to my Directors for their assistance during the weekend as well as Leslie Hunt and Jake Nave. Our Spo ... more

Cyril J. Merithew.....bad move my friend....... Mark....nice job as always!!! "...dumb ass. get it together yo..." You are on my black list and I will gladly turn you away from any event that I am affiliated with for the rest of my disc golf existence, and I ask any of my friends who are club directors to do the same. I have been involved with disc golf in this state for 20 years and the club directors put up with a lot of shit. Do your f'n homework before you bash a club or it's director. T ... more

What a piece of **** guy!!!! Don't be bashing our tournaments or club. I'm sure there is way too much to figure in when planning these events. And read the ****ing thread the am nat qualIfer was a last minute decision. Get a ****ing hobby don't be bashing our hard working tournament staff and elite event.
Mark Stephens June 24 at 10:27pm
Well... Perhaps you may think about actually knowing what you are talking about before you make a post like that.
First the PDGA tells you what date that you run an A Tier event which this. Then later all of the clubs in Michigan which the Dogs of Disc schedules around an event of this size and scale. They were there and we discussed that it would be fine to run the event on the same weekend.
Secondly, in 2011 it was an Am Nats qualifier. In 2012 it was an Am Nats qualifer.
So check your facts...
You get what I am saing yo?
David Lonteen June 24 at 10:25pm
