Disc golf doubles tournament
About this tournament
This is a bring your own partner (1 male, 1 female) mixed doubles tournament. If you need a partner please contact me (Erin Oakley) and I can try to find you one! I have many many girls in town that would like to play and may not have partners! There will be 2 divisions. Pro and Am. If you normally play Pro or Advanced you will play Pro. All other Ams will play am. If you can not find a female partner, I will offer a Cali division. To pre-reg, post on the talk board here and tell me you and your partners names, division, and pdga numbers if you have one. Cash pay out for Pro teams, merch payouts for Ams and Cali!
Format: 2 rounds of 18 holes. All teams will play the same format. Each round, each team must play from 8 of the men's drives and 8 of the women's drives, which leaves you with two floaters. The rest of the hole is best shot.
Pro - $40, Men pay $25, women pay $15!
Am - $25, Men pay $20, women pay $5!
Pros, $15 of your entry fee will go to the fundraiser.
All proceeds will go to the Disc Girls Gone Wild, Women only event at Sleepy Hollow on June 7-8, 2014 . I hope you will come out and support the women!
To Register, just post your Team Name, Real names, PDGA # if you have one (all info for both players), and division. Please read rules for divisions up above! less

Keeping Warm Winter Tips Wear loose layers over a thermal layer Wear a thin windbreaker over your sweatshirt...this keeps a lot of heat in and the wind from blowing through Use mittens instead of gloves(if you have them)... Just to let you all know, There are some down branches that we were unable to move. They are all frozen to the ground, and we have spent hours and hours and hours of our time chipping away at the inches of ice on the tee pads. The pads are clear though!

The question of ribbons came up. Yes you can tape ribbons on your discs. However, in my opinion you probably will not need them. The snow is hard on top so the only chance of a lost disc is if it hits a footprint just right and goes under. However, I don't really think the snow is that soft underneath either, but if you want to play it safe, you may use ribbons.

Erin, put me in the cali division. I will be there no matter what. If an "open" female needs a partner I can jump over there too.

ATTN ALL PLAYERS: Since this is a fundraiser for one of the biggest Women's Only events in the world, I am accepting donations of used or new plastic, new or used other disc golf merch that can be used in the payouts (such as minis, hats, koozies, towels, other useful disc golf items). If you have something you can donate, please bring it the day of, or if you are local, you can give to me or Matt Rinker. Thanks!!

Hey guys without partners...I am sorry, I got nothing. I've been asking and getting no responses. But don't give up! I am still trying! And remember if you can't find a female partner, there is always the Cali division.
