I want to try to qualify for MA3. If, perchance, I do not qualify, can I move to a different division that still has spots open? Say AM Master if they have the spots and I meet the age requirement?

Okay, just looked at the pools. I'd be pushed to a pro division. I guess the plus side would be watching really good players a whole round and hopefully getting some instruction. Also getting to play Flip City.

Sorry, having issues posting answer

Adam Geise   August 23, 2014 at 1:54am

age protected and am women is Pool E. Pools are limited to 96. MA1 is still an option Matt. It has the most openings besides Open.

Is the PDGA rating update on August 26th going to be used for registration on the LCQ/State Championship? There are some people close to teetering over into AM2 that may not be eligible after that update (one person AM3 is 899 rated).

This question is addressed in the State Championship comment section.

Adam Geise   August 18, 2014 at 10:00pm

indeed it is.

Dave Davies   August 18, 2014 at 10:22pm

From Keith Atens Comment: The next PDGA Ratings update is Aug 26. This will fall after the registration deadline of Aug 22. If your rating changes after the Aug 26 update and you are registered in a division that you no longer are eligible for you will have to move to the division you are eligible f ... more

How do I know what division I should sign up for? Is there a score spread to give myself a better idea?

Be warned. If you have played recently, there will be a ratings update, by the PDGA, before this event. The TD has already stated that new ratings will be respected in all cases. So, if your rating rises above the AM3 threshold, you would be moved up. Good luck Dave.

Mark Stephens   August 8, 2014 at 4:09pm

No, you do not need to be a PDGA member to play in this event or the Discraft State Championships.

Ryan Kenny   August 11, 2014 at 8:46am

Thanks Mark!

Yes you can pay day of preresistering just helps all involved know ow many are in each division. You will be playing for a spot in the championships. Top 10 get berth package. if 10 spots open in a division hen you are playing for those spots. If 9 people are playing for tose spots then all are in.

Ryan ware   August 6, 2014 at 10:45pm

Thank you. if it is a last chance qualifer shouldn't it be first come for reg. like I said just trying to figure out how this works thank you for taking time to answer my question. !

Adam Geise   August 6, 2014 at 1:21am

if your pool is full then there will be no spots to play for at LCQ.

Mark Stephens   August 8, 2014 at 4:16pm

There is no theoretical maximum number of players for the LCQ. Now, the division that you WANT to play in the Championship event may be full and you would have to play in a different division. If that does not make sense, you can PM me and I will try to explain in greater detail.
