For clarity: To qualify for the USADGC, you have to participate in the AM1 division.
Since our event is a B Tier, the top 15% of the AM 1 division would automatically qualify.

Is this a "hard 15%", where the berth does not move down the list if someone already has one? You must be in the top 15% of the Advanced field regardless?

John Minicuci   May 13, 2013 at 8:26am

This is a hard 15% kind of. Say 25 players play in our B Tier. That would mean that 3.75 players would qualify (25 x .15). We would take the top 4 players due to rounding up. If 2 of the players have already qualified the opportunity does not get passed down to the next players. If there is a 5 way tie for the 4th spot then the they all would qualify.

I might have to come play Sounds like a blast

Oh, and did I also say that the Firefighters Park Disc Golf Course (plus added holes and altered course layout) will be closed to the general public for the tournament all day?

Did I say out loud that the 2013 FireFighters Classic is a 2013 United States Amateur Disc Golf Championship qualifier?

John, is there anyway to turn the Rec Womens division into Advanced. My rating won't let me play in rec division, and I don't want to play pro. I think most of the ladies will have this problem due to ratings.

John Minicuci   May 9, 2013 at 11:03pm

Yes, we ordered a few extras to sell! Brent Sickel is the artist so he gets all of the credit! We are very fortunate to have Brent and Abbie sending us tournament art!

Here is what was played last year and should be close to this years as well. Hole 1 = 286' (no change) Hole 2 = 300' (Portable basket in the trees on the right for the longs). Hole 2 = 238' (Permanent basket - short) Hole 3 = 420' (long) Hole 3 = 280' (temporary tee pad, sho ... more

John Minicuci   May 9, 2013 at 11:09pm

I can foresee a few additional changes. Hole 7 might get a new long temporary tee pad about 300' or so. Hole 12 might be changed comletely so the basket is east of tee pad 13, maybe. Hole 16 will have a long temporary tee pad. Hole 17 might get a temporary short tee pad along the walking path. Out of the 18 current holes, holes 1, 4, 8, 13, and 15 would remain the same.

if your planning on playing in several tournaments, it's well worth the cost. plus, if you win your division, it'll make things easier

PayPal is now setup and you can use it to register for this tournament. We are NO LONGER taking cashless pre reg on the scene for our PDGA sanctioned events. If you do not have a PayPal account, or would like to pay in person, or mail a check please PM me.

Rob Dahmen   May 4, 2013 at 9:29pm

I know the no cashless pre reg is standard now, but there seems to keep being a problem with it. I know that people don't review all the comments before just posting their division and #. I would recommend just adding a comment to the About section so that is something that people read first.
