Ok everybody, the scores are finally up, I got them as exact as possible, if you are wondering why there are only 18 teams it is because one had to drop out at the start of the second round.

Well, we had a record turnout and I will be posting the scores over the next few days. I will be planning a new tournament for mid to late August, so keep your eyes peeled for that one. I already have one major sponsor for the tourney, Otter's Oasis will be playing a bigger part, and I will be looking for some more sponsors so we can make this one tourney a real good one.

Well, my answer is that the worst shot would be the one that went in the water due to the fact that it went out of bounds and cost a stroke. You may want to bring an umbrella with you today because there is a 40% chance of storms. Ok everybody, it's tournament day, one question came up yesterday as to which shot to take if one is in the water and the other further back. Well, my answer is that the worst shot would be the one that went in the water due to the fact that it went out of bounds and cost a stroke. You may want to bring an umbrella with you today because there is a 40% chance of storms. If there happens to be lightning during one of the rounds, I ask that you do your best to get to your cars or shelter in one of the nearby apartment stairwells until it passes. Safety is number one out there today. Here's a quick recap of the rules:

1) Players are to take the worst shot out of the two partners *this means the farthest from the pin if in bounds and if out of bounds, the shot that went out of bounds* if both shots went out of bounds, take the one that left play farthest from the basket.
2) If a shot enters and stays in the basket, the shot counts and that particular hole is completed for that team.
3) Shots that go out of bounds are to be taken from the spot that the disc left in bounds play.
4) There is a 5 minute limit to searching for lost discs. All players are encouraged to help find a lost disc to ensure a timely search.
5) Be respectful and civil toward others involved in the tournament. Respect is the key to having fun at these events.

Just got some last second support from our friendly local head shop Otter's Oasis and Detox Depot! They will be throwing in a couple of gift certificates that will be prizes in a couple of our longest putts. Just a reminder to everyone, 10 am is sign in, 10:45 is the player's meeting, and the first round starts at 11. You may want to bring an umbrella just in case we have a random shower, otherwise, the weather should be cooperating, see you all tomorrow!

There is a long area on the North edge of the course with available street parking, unfortunately, all of our attempts to get the new gate open have fallen upon deaf ears. I will try to post a link with a map clarifying the parking areas in the next day or two.

Looks like we're going to be having a rather well attended tournament this Sunday, this is just a reminder to all of those that are signed up that registration starts at 10 am with a 45 minute time period for warmup. It appears as though the weather will cooperate and the temperature is supposed to get up to 70. I'll be glad to see you all there and good luck to all!
