About this tournament
I am looking for those with portable baskets to bring them with you to the event. Please let me know if you can help me with this.
The holes will be shortened to make the course fully ace-able per Discraft guidelines. The person with the most aces (with the tie-breaker being throws that hit metal, anywhere on the pole/basket without being aced) will win the grand prize, typically a trophy disc and 7-8 other discs and a large disc golf bag. Your chances of winning are relatively high, and you're bound to have a great time either way!
A portion of each entry is kicked back to Wadsworth Disc Golf for course improvements. While no improvements have yet been made, we have over $500 raised in the last 2 Ace Races for the course! We will have additional side competition offerings for additional chances to win and additional funds raised for improving the course, one of which you may pre-pay to enter (50/50 ace funds). less

Also, I never took any pictures or video today. If any of you did so and don't mind adding it to this site I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

Thanks to everyone who came out today. I hope you all had a good time. Aside from losing my package bag (#1 in case someone ended up with it) I enjoyed it. I'll try to post more formal results, but Congrats to Kevin Wilsterman on winning the 3-way playoff for the winner's package. I'll likely be doing this again next year at about the same time. Thanks to all who contributed, helped, or donated in some way. Keep an eye out for future activities to get Memorial Park moving and improved.

Looking forward to tomorrow morning. If anyone is able to bring a portable basket, I could put it to use. Also, I would welcome any help to prepare for the event in the morning, with things like course setup and package distribution.
All packages are prepared for distribution. It will be first-come, first-served with hats (various colors) and discs (various colors and weights).

Discs have arrived. The package is sweet. IMO this is the best Discraft Driver I've thrown since the X-Clone. (Discraft pleasepleaseplease bring that one back!). OK, well, maybe the XL. It is very fast out of the hand, and flies very consistent with a slightly stable but smooth finish from my first impression. It reminds me of an Innova Katana in terms of flight characteristics, only perhaps a little straighter from start to finish. It has a pretty narrow rim. Flies beautifully. IF YOU AREN'T REGISTERED YET GET ON BOARD - SIX SPOTS LEFT!

OK, so as usual, I'm a bit late on things, but no matter, we should set up for a good race this year. The discs this year are in Z plastic, and they're describing it as a small-rim driver, similar to Avenger SS but with more distance. This is year #3 in a row for a driver being showcased. This means the layout this year will be similar to the first two. Looking forward to seeing everyone there. I will be looking into prospects of course improvements as well leading into this year's race ... more

I will be looking into prospects of course improvements as well leading into this year's race. None of the $500 raised in the Ace Races have been spent yet, so we'll see how we can put it to the best use!
The full player pack reveal is tomorrow. I'll follow up right behind that with flyers posted at local courses and spots around town as soon as I can!
