642 possible spots, 625 registered, 37 on the waitlist....37 who had been invited. OPEN IT UP!
Also, have the Pay To Play courses waived their daily fees for tournament players, especially out-of-towners, to practice without additional cost?

Dave, look at the divisional caps. There is no room.

Steve Ganz   July 19, 2014 at 9:37am

Course entry fees have been discounted from $5 to $3 per day for all participants at Kaposia, Valley and Blue Ribbon Pines.

Well if it happened now all new plans will be needed , I was to leave today for the worlds but still on wait list with a 2 day drive , I can not make it for skills shots / putting with a 2 day drive if I do not leave today , so delayed and looking like not going to make it , but I wish all the advanced masters who did make it , the best of luck and will miss playing with so many of you , 31082 David G. North Carolina , I would like to also know at this time if I would get a "E" mail or a call as well if we make if off the wait list , is Friday the last chance ?

THanks Steve. ANy info on waitlist notification? I'm third on GMaster list...do I need to be right by the phone or email at the time.

Steve Ganz   July 18, 2014 at 11:56am

No. You will be automatically added and you will receive a notification via email.

robin mclean   July 18, 2014 at 1:12pm

Good on that. Would just be impossible otherwise. THanks Steve.

Jeromy Morgan    July 17, 2014 at 6:11am

I think it should have been put to a vote per division on if we could have had 5 people groups to expand the field instead of someone making the decision for us!

robin mclean    July 16, 2014 at 11:49pm

Does anyone know the waitlist notification procedure? Do I get called and have to be home? Emailed and have to reply within a certain amount of time?

Can anyone with the tourney or the pdga explain the pooling process? What determines which pool you are placed in. Just curious, thanks.

What is the purpose of putting the 25 highest rated players in the a pool

Marty Gregwah   July 17, 2014 at 9:37am

The purpose is to front load that pool with the top players for media and promotional purposes.

Bill Adams   July 17, 2014 at 10:51am

I can appreciates the that. I only hope this practice does not in anyway create an unfair playing environment or threaten the integrity of the game, playing with better players usually push me, of

Barry Hutton    July 16, 2014 at 12:21am

What's up with the pooling is it not by rating?

Bill Adams   July 15, 2014 at 5:27pm

I'm not sure how they do it but I would hope it would be random

Jamalle Castillo   July 15, 2014 at 7:27pm

The way I was explained it works is that they place the top 25 rated players in pool A, after that it's as random as they can make it.

Bill Adams   July 15, 2014 at 11:30pm

What is the reasoning for putting the top 25 in the same pool

Bill Adams    July 15, 2014 at 12:03am

Please disregard my last post. It is hard to keep track of my chances of getting in with the registered players list changing the way it is. Players that were in the advanced field less than an hour ago are now back in front if me on the adv master wait list

Steve Ganz   July 15, 2014 at 2:40pm

Each division has its own waitlist. If a player drops out of Advanced it does not affect the Advanced Masters wait list.

Bill Adams    July 14, 2014 at 11:30pm

Just wondering if the wait list updates automatically? 1,2,3 and 5 are either in the tourney or withdrew. I believe I am second on the wait list now but the site still has me at 6. And only shows #4.

Couple of quick questions for anyone who may know. 1) Are there scorecards with the yardages being played during worlds available yet? 2) Some of the courses look kinda flat and open, are there ob lines between fairways at all?

Steve Ganz   July 13, 2014 at 9:32pm

All the information we have online is available at http://www.pdga.com/2014amworlds/courses. Caddy books with distances and OB will be available at player check in.

I have read conflicting statements on this site. I would like some clarification please in regards to forfeiting your entry fee. If you were on the wait list and do not ask for a refund by July 11 in hopes of somehow making the tournament field do you forfeit your entry fee and receive the players backcourt you get a full refund minus the $10 handling fee?

Steve Ganz   July 7, 2014 at 4:47pm

All players who are on the waitlist and do not make it into the event will receive a full refund minus the $10 handling fee regardless of whether or not they request it prior to July 11th.

Walter Rayburn    July 6, 2014 at 6:10am

I would like to withdraw my name from the wait list, but can not find the email with the link to cancel. I would appreciate help with this matter.
Thank you

Justin Bambury   July 6, 2014 at 6:20pm

The Professional Disc Golf Association is responsible for all refund/cancelation requests. Full refunds are available until Friday, July 11, 2014. Drops after this date will receive only a player's pack (no refunds).

Justin Bambury   July 6, 2014 at 6:21pm

Are there a fixed number of spots available? It seems the max number changes. Any chance of adding to the adv. mstr. Field

Steve Ganz   July 6, 2014 at 8:37pm

Yes. The division caps won't change.

Chris Warfield    June 30, 2014 at 12:24am

forgot to sign up for the distance competition when I was signing up, is there a way i can do it now without having to resign up for my division and such?

Steve Ganz   July 1, 2014 at 10:39am

Yep, just go to the register page and select the items you want. No need to reselect anything you've already signed up for.

Dave Becchetti    June 27, 2014 at 5:40pm

Man! I didn't see this coming. Been looking forward to Am Worlds coming to the Twin Cities for years and unfortunately I find myself deep into the SGM wait list. If I knew then what I know now, I would have volunteered Hansen Park Saucer Golf Course as another tournament course. Our beloved CONES would present a unique and one of a kind challenge. "Hansen Park Welcomes the Worlds" has been our motto and we welcome disc golfers from all over the country and world to come give them a try. Hurry though, tee times are filling fast!

Is the flooding experienced in the St. Paul area affecting the courses currently and do you expect
Any impact on the tourney from the rising waters?

Just yesterday at http://2014amworlds.com/site/proposed-schedule/#comment-2626, TD Mike Snelson said, "Typically the weather in Minnesota is fairly dry in July. The courses are recovering nicely from all the rain this Spring and contingency plans have been put in place in case we continue this once-every-50-years cycle. Iu2019m anticipating average temps and rainfall by next month."
