Disc golf singles tournament
About this tournament
Current divisions are Men’s, Women’s, and Novice Open. I have also included my favorite "What is Disc Golf" Division. This is a great forum to expose new players to the sport.
RSVP is HIGHLY APPRECIATED to help with food calculations. Attempt to RSVP by Monday Dec 05 1200, reservations can be accepted after this.
Discs Unlimited will have a booth open during the event and is our prime supporter. The Pathfinder, City Cycle Sales Inc, Dick Edwards Mazda, Varsity Donuts, and Threads are also current contributers. Profit from this event will go to support Ft Riley's Wounded Warrior Program. Come support this great cause, newly revised course, and chuck some plates! less

This was my first tournament and I had a great time. All the people I met were friendly and helpful. The event staff did a great job and I'll be back next year.

Thanks again everyone! I'm proud to say that I was there for the 1st annual Ft. Riley Winter Open. It was great to see so many familiar faces, as well as plenty of new ones. A VERY special thanks to Matt, Rob and Jeremy (for hosting this event and all of the hard work and planning that they put into it), thanks to all of our sponsors and a BIG thanks to everyone who came out and helped pull off such a great turnout.

Well done Big Red One! I don't know where to start, to put it simply it was 3x as much fun as I was expecting! I can't wait for the 2nd annual event. Considering I am about to collapse due to total exhaustion, I must have had a blast.
I look forward to seeing all of you on a local course soon.

So a great point was just brought up about linking scores to people's profiles on here. Not including individuals in the Manhattan League, you know who you are, and we got you covered. If you'd like your tournament scores linked to your profile, send us the email address you use to log into this site and we'll enter it with your player information with the scoring. You can send the info to [email disguise]. It'll automatically link everything together and will populate on your profile. Big thanks again to Rick Petrie of the Manhattan League for bringing up this point.

And that sums it up! Added a few pictures, my favorite was Kyle shooting from the tree on #10, sometimes you just can't shake it out of a huge oak! Thanks for everyone's support this year, I look forward to what we will accomplish for the BRO and Flint Hills community next year! Keep chuckin' plates!

Thanks to everyone that came out today to play in our first annual open. It was great for us to be able to host the tournament and we hope you all had a great time. Scores have been posted. For the tie-breakers in the Amateur and Novice divisions, I simply added one stroke to the Safari 9 total so the DGS scoring system would recognize it. Once again, thanks for coming out and supporting a great cause. We raised over $840 for the wounded soldiers here on Riley. Those profits will go towards prov ... more
Thanks to everyone that came out today to play in our first annual open. It was great for us to be able to host the tournament and we hope you all had a great time. Scores have been posted. Once again, thanks for coming out and supporting a great cause. We raised over $840 for the wounded soldiers here on Riley. Those profits will go towards providing them with discs and bags so they can come out and play our great sport. Another special thanks to Discs Unlimited and all of our other sponsors for the tremendous support. Thanks again everyone, and Merry Christmas!
