We will have the scores posted soon enough so CONGRATULATIONS to all of the winners including the Chili Cook-Off, Cash, and Food drives. We will also post the official results before we head down to the Detroit Capuchin Soup Kitchen next Monday. I hope to have a current number for cash and weight by Thursday. So far, it looks like we are very close to being over $6000. You should all be proud!

The tee pads are all in great shape except 1 which is flooded. After BOBIS, Jay Binienda and myself cleared a few valleys for the water to drain. If the tee pad is flooded, we will set up a temporary tee pad near the practice basket. Wear plastic bags over your socks and inside your boots. It will be wet...

Just blow up the woods by 18, don't forget to bring a towel.

John Minicuci   January 10, 2014 at 8:26pm

Just make sure you throw the towel deep in the woods when finished in case another disc golfer finds it and shakes it up!

FYI: We will have a couple of power strips plugged in to keep the Crock Pots of chili hot. Last year there were a couple of pots full of chili we kept on the fire to warm. Crock Pots work a lot better...

allen fleming   January 9, 2014 at 7:42am

i will be bringing a pot with me

Dan James   January 9, 2014 at 8:13pm

I will bring some chili ... mmmm

Jeff "Heyman" Schropp    January 4, 2014 at 2:01am

I have a question regarding the pledge sheet...at the bottom of the sheet, it says to collect pledges and bring the day of the event. If some of my pledges are per-shot, they won't know how much to pay me until the event is completed and I go to work the following Monday to tell them what my score was. Can I bring the money the following week?

Derek Michalak   January 3, 2014 at 5:52pm

Just have them pledge a one time amount, the per shot is to hard to do and than try and collect off that.

John Minicuci   January 3, 2014 at 6:04pm

Derek is the king of the Pledge Sheet. He knows best. If they really want to pledge by shot then yes. Just plan on giving us enough time to add in what you collect before we go to the Soup Kitchen. Typically, we drop everything off on MLK day 2014 = Monday, January 20, 2014

John Minicuci   January 7, 2014 at 9:34pm

I have a template that you can personalize and edit for you to use thanks to Derek. If you would like me to email it to you, send me a pm or text me...

Derek Michalak    December 31, 2013 at 1:14am

Ok....So here we are again, it's time for everyone to start getting pledges to support the Detroit Capuchin Soup Kitchen. Just like last year, i'm putting up a $50 personal bounty for any one person that can beat my personal best donation of $540 and is the highest contributor this year. All you have to do is raise over $540 and be the highest contributor this year. If I personally raise over $540 and no one beats me i will donate the $50 along with my normal $20 contribution. Sad ... more
