Whoever is smoking and dropping your butts all over on this course, please stop. Also, I've seen a bunch of beer cans and bottles tossed out into the brush, and/or left out around the course that I didn't notice last time I was out there. Let's have some class, and common courtesy and pick up after ourselves, fellow hukkers. I mean, there are receptacles for that stuff just about every third hole, and I'm sure that bottle/can was a lot heavier when you packed it in...so it's not too much to ask you make it to the GARBAGE CAN with your GARBAGE. Thank you, I'm off my soap box now...

The other day, when I was up there, I couldn't help notice that the wind was blowing the coffee can ash tray off the table it was on, I picked up a lot of it .... And put the ash tray on the ground behind a stump... People leave accidentally leave things behind, espicialy in the dark.... I pick ... more

I do remember the neighbors were most concerned about fire danger with all the traffic and those tiny kindling trees branches everywhere. Join it then, tags are cheap and the league is for fun. Sometimes the staff cooks up burgers and dogs to free for the Bag tag'ers. Having the league doesn't shut down the course, just adds traffic. Don't be afraid and enjoy the course anytime :)

I would say by noon...the players usually start out on the first few holes about 10 and you can easily rotate into the group to play since there are usually about 20 players. Big Dog can confirm this better.

On Saturday the 15th, someone vandalized one of the finished picnic tables with a stupid Disc Charger circle. It is unmistakeable because you can't spell disc.....not DISK. If you are the person guilty of this act, please make arrangements to repair the table as soon as you can. If you dont, STAY AWAY FROM BUXTON WOODS!! If you know who this person was, please forward this message. If there is continued vandalism of the private property at Buxton Woods, the tables will be removed. Come on Folks!!!

im with Myk. Ill drop $10 as well. disc is young. course etiquette will catch on. I have faith. Some serious douche bags play disc, but from my experience they pick up on their opponents habits. They sometimes change. Anyway.....$10!

We still have our Die Hard Hukkers, Nate. We just dont get that kind of weather often. It ended up being 14 inches of snow accumulation where I live. Not anything like the Great Lakes areas though. Now if you want to talk about rain....its said that we Oregonians dont tan, we just get a bit rusty.lol

Today I added a temporary new Course Lay-Out that we are experimenting with at Buxton Woods. We have named it The Bull of The Woods Lay-out. The course is as follows... Front 9 - Throw from Odd # Tee-pads to the Even Pins ( Tee #1 to Pin #2, Tee #3 to Pin #4, etc.). We have played the lay-out when nobody else was golfing and its a damn, fine lay-out for sure. We have also played with a few other golfers on the course and was able to make it work great. I would like to add that most fairways and walk-outs must be used as part of the lay-out. Big Dog and I have marked most fairway mandos with pink and orange ribbons. I will try to post an updated map of the course.

Buxton Woods "GL-UB's" are cancelled for tonight. A storm is coming in this evening and the Managment at the course fears falling limbs could be a danger to players. Sunday Bag Tags are still on so see you on Sunday!! Glow Dubs will resume next Friday. Thank you for supporting Buxton Woods!!

Buxton Woods will be open tomorrow and having Turkey dinner for everybody who shows up. The owner and host, Chuck S. will be preparing a spread fit for a hungry disc golfer after some Buxton Woods disc golf. Check thier Facebook site for times and to RSVP. Chuck is asking that you kinda give him a heads up as to who and how many will be joining Buxton Woods for Thanksgiving n Disc Golf at The Woods. This Friday, $5 Random Flip Glow Dubs at Buxton Woods!! Clear November night means a big fire to warm up by!!! Sign-ups start at 5 p.m. Start at 5:30!! Optional $1 Ace Pot. If no one hits an Ace, a CTP will decide it. Come one, come all!! See ya at The Woods!!!
