stolen basket at Blizzard Hills
darn, darn, double darn. The #7 basket was stolen sometime between Monday night July19th. at 9:30pm and Wednesday morning. The report is that there are no tracks, so it was either yanked and carried to the parking lot or obtained from a small boat coming to hole 7 by way of the Pinconning River. anyone that has played Blizzard Hills would be doing the course a great favor by going to http://www.pdga.com/course_directory/course/blizzard-hills-dgc
and posting a favorable and honest rating. Remember, the course is the only non publicly funded public course in the Saginaw Valley and has been cut out of the woods by hand and all signage, baskets and upkeep comes from donated funds.

Blizzard Hills remains closed BUT Old Airport Disc Golf Course in AuGres, Michigan has ordered 18 Chainstar baskets and expect to have them cemented in before the snow flies. Along with baskets replacing the aluminum poles, a few holes will get redesigned to add some extra distance to this course that was started and maintained by one guy since 1999. His efforts paid off and the city is behind the efforts that provided the opportunity for the course to develop.
