The Stark County Disc Golf Association invites you to join us in the 1st of 2 events to raise funds and show case the courses we will be using for the BIGGEST Tournament of the year: The Hall of Chains!

Event #1 – The July Open
PDGA Sanctioned C-Tier Event
July 11th – 8:00am
Arboretum Spiker Park – Canton, Ohio

This will be a 2 round format and we will be adding to 3 extra holes to make it a full 27 holes per round.

These are the layouts that will be played; all baskets are going to be in all short positions.

Open - $50.00:
Round 1: Long Tees
Round 2: Short Tees

Ma1 - $30.00:
Round 1: Long Tees
Round 2: Short Tees

Ma2 - $30.00:
Round 1: Short Tees
Round 2: Short Tee

There will be a Players Pack provided for all Amateur players.

It has been relatively quiet and I’ve noticed NO tournaments coming up anytime soon.

That being said, we were looking at possibly putting together a 1 round, 3 Division Tournament similar to the “Trilogy Challenge” that Tiger Town DGC hosted earlier this year with the help of Stark County DGA.

That being said, we were looking at possibly putting together a 1 round, 3 Division Tournament similar to the “Trilogy Challenge” that Tiger Town DGC hosted earlier this year with the help of Stark County DGA.

- Cost would be roughly the same ($30) and you would receive a “Player Pack” with 3 Discs (Valued over $50) just for registering
- There would be cash and other prizes for the 3 Divisions (Pro/Open/Dynamic)
- CTP Competition with additional Cash/Prize
- We were looking at Black Friday as a possible Date at Lincoln Park (or Oak Ledges if you prefer that name)

We are looking to get some feedback to see if it would even be a possibility with the quick turn-around.

Why is scdga not running this event? Have you talked to Your local Club? Generating other clubs in the same area confuses the casual disc golfer of who really is taking care of your courses. Lots of club effort and money goes into these courses. Do you have plans to put back into the Lincoln course like a dollar from each player goes to the Massillon basket fund/scdga? Just curious as a current Club director and ex stark County director I have great passion for disc golf in general and the c ... more
