This Saturday is the Finals for the Summer Leagues! The Coldbrook League's final round will start at 9am, so be there before to check in. Potluck lunch, CTP grand prize throw offs, and awards will be starting around noon. High/low doubles will be after the awards and there is over $600 so far, for that round (members only!). There maybe more depending on any aces that may happen during the last 2 Coldbrook rounds. Finally there is a $5/person draw doubles at dark!!

how does high low doubles work?

Larry LaBond   September 27, 2013 at 8:01am

I pair high averages with low average. So the person with the lowest average is paired with the person with the highest average and so on. I have seeded the non-coldbrook league members according to their averages in the other league compaired to the people with averages in both.

Remember that the league finals are Saturday, September 28th. The double points Cold Brook round will start at 9am. Followed by a potluck lunch and the throw offs for all 3 league's CTP grand prizes. Then is the awards/prizes for all 3 leagues. If you are owed any CTP prizes they must be claimed before the awards. If you can't be there and expect to receive anything, please have someone get it or make arrangements with me.

High/Low doubles will be after the awards for any money ... more

There will be a work day at Knollwood on Sunday, September 8th, we will be focusing on clearing out downed trees and branches, as well as installing new S-hooks and inner chains. We need as much help as we can get, so if you can come out, please bring either tools (pliers, hammers, hand saws, chainsaws, wheel barrows, etc...) or a cash contribution toward gas and oil for those that do bring chainsaws and the like. We will be meeting out at Knollwood around noon and food should be available.

Hello, I apologize for the short notice of this message, but I am in need of several people to help put on a disc golf demo this Friday (July 19th) afternoon at the Eastern Hills Golf Course in Kalamazoo. It will be a relatively short demonstration and will go a long way toward gaining more community support for local and professional disc golf.

Please let me know at your earliest possible convenience if you, or anyone else you know can come help. Thank you so much for your time and I hope to see you there!

This question occurs here, as I figured that the league associated with the Angry Squirrel might be a good place to ask. How come we are less than a week before the close of registration and I see 10 regs for Sat and 2 for Sun,? I plan to get a practice in on 4/7; but, it may be 2 long trips for a tourney that may not have a showing or my preferred MG1 division. Is there no other nearby league that otherwise notices that this is the only tournament being held at Victory Park in the 2013 season?

Keep in mind that it is the same weekend as Bowling Green Ams, which is one of the biggest Am events. Also Victory Park is kind of intimidating to a lot of players, because of the water hazzards. I know that at least one of my usual Grand Ams is going to Bowling Green.

I get it. I played today and enjoyed it, even though the 20-30 wind made some of the water holes too risky. There were 5 or six players and many squirrels (one got justifiably angry at me). It may be used less than I might expect for a city park due to the skill level required. i looked at the Bow ... more

Has anyone heard from Kevin Swanson? He has a disc that he never gave me in the Trading post. I traded two discs for a awesome disc, and I haven't heard from him since January. Please message me if you have played with him recently to pas on the message. He will not respond any of my texts, calls, or messages. Thanks

Hey everyone! We here at Knollwood are trying to raise money for merchandise to sell for our cleanup and improvement efforts. Follow the link at the bottom of this message for a full description, a short video presentation, and the opportunity to either donate, or share my message with others.

I have just heard that the director of the City of Kalamazoo Parks department has resigned, so we have a new opportunity to truly change the image of Knollwood.
