Saturday at 10am at Tuttle we will play a round for discs! Each player will put a DISC in the pot to be up for grabs! Person who places best gets first pick of a disc of his or her choice second gets his pick and so on and last place would get the last disc available! So everyone comes with a disc and leaves with one! Then whoever wants to we will have a SWAP MEET aka trading and/or selling discs! Let me know if your interested! BTW be a good time to practice for the little apple open coming up!
Sweet I told some people at Doubles last night and seemed to have gotten some more interest in it as well
Sounds like fun. However, I'll have to miss it because this Saturday has been booked solid for me for a while.

Cool to hang out with so many DFOKers at the 2014 GBO. Tournament rounds, watching the pros, the block party & other events.
It was especially cool to see so many MORE of us playing in it than at my last GBO (2012).
Disc golf in the Manhattan area is still growing strong & the right people are noticing!

Anyone want to get in a disc golf round this afternoon?
I'd love to, but I've got in-laws visiting this weekend plus today is Stephanie's birthday. At best, I'll be giving the in-laws a mini tour of the new Fairmont.

The weather man just said we can expect a high of 70 today.
I'm not sure if he meant temperature or wind speed. (ha)

I know this is not disc golf related, but it is about a cool looking round thing in the sky.
Watch the moon tonight as it passes by because there's going to be a total lunar eclipse... nicknamed a "Blood Moon".
Hopefully it looks pretty cool at some point in the process.
Apparently the impressive part is going to start around 1am here in the Central Time Zone.
Was amazing, Got to watch it over my lunch break around 2:30 am. The eclipse was ending, but was still really awesome to see.

Anyone playing the Rock in Salina April 26th and 27th? I was thinking about signing up today or tomorrow.
I've heard good things about that tourney & it seems like there's always 3 or 4 DFOKers playing it it.

Only 8 days until the LCM Break The Chains Tournament! ( http://www.discgolfscene.com/tournaments/4th_Annual_LCM_Break_the_Chains_2014 )
1. It is supposed to be in the 70's next Saturday.
2. You'll get to play a total of 29 pin placements (during the 2 rounds of 18). Including the popular #13 Island Shot!
3. All 18 concrete tee pads are supposed to be done by then... !
4. You'll be sure to see me there.
There's 3 good reasons to get signed up & play. (Ha!)
Rick Petrie April 5, 2014 at 1:36am
If you happen to see the concrete forms on Fairmont #8 & think they look out of whack, you are correct.
The problem will be corrected before the concrete is poured...
Plus, if you see anything else as these are being built (hopefully next week) that looks wrong or especially if something looks really bizarre, please feel free to contact me... that way we get what we want.
I am in.
