I went to Fairmont on my lunch break today to label the baskets that can be labeled right now (long stort there).

While there I found a couple tiny end wrenches on a baskets. I think they were left behind by someone this morning. ..

Shout out to all who assisted in tonight's Fairmont Park Disc Golf Course Remodel & Expansion tasks.

It was great to see yet another strong showing of DFOK'ers working to improve one of our courses.
A special thanks to Bill Pryor for going the extra mile(s) by leaving to find, then purchase, a couple replacement nuts & bolts.

I plan to post official DFOK news tomorrow some time... But in the mean time, I hope you can find time to go enjoy the new 18 hole layout.

To anyone who has "wanted to help with the work on the course expansion", but has too hectic of a schedule to attend a workday... here's your chance.

Each one of our new pin placements ended up with some "extra dirt" piled around the outside of the hole. Now that we've installed the new ground equipment, some of that dirt needs to go back in around the outside of the black irrigation "box" things (to the level of the green lid).

To anyone who has "wanted to help with the work on the course expansion", but has too hectic of a schedule to attend a workday... here's your chance.

Our best chance to do this is (1) before the rain washes it away (2) before there's a basket installed with people throwing at you... :-). I'll personally be out there doing some of it. Please consider pitching in any free time you have and do some too. Any time of day, any length of time will help.

This may sound crazy, but so does throwing a frisbee at a metal basket and expecting to hit it from 300' away...

My apologies for blowing up everybody's discgolfscene News feed & the DFOK Tab, but this is a HUGE week for us...

Okay, on to my actual content. If you can spare a long level (2'-4') for Saturday's Workday, please bring it along. I've got two, but a couple more would be ideal. (We need them to make sure the center posts are perfectly plumb).

Otherwise I think we're good on tools... but bring tools if you're dying to do so.

Fairmont Expansion Update:
I am pleased to announce that this morning RL County Parks was on-site digging basket locations in preparation for our club work-day this Saturday. Yes, I was on-site to ensure all of them went exactly where we wanted them.

I'll post an official update & maybe even some action photos later tonight.

!!!LOST DISC UPDATE!!!

So...at Tuttle Tuesday I saw my mint green destroyer in the creek on hole 5, and decided to go back after the round to get it. After getting there and wading the creek for about 30 minutes, it was gone. What I did notice though, while driving over, we're 2 college aged kids drying off at their truck. Looked to be a white dodge Dakota or small sized pick up truck like it. Both had short hair and were skinny...I know it's not a lot to go off, but if anyone knows ... more

!!!LOST DISC ALERT!!!

Lost a mint green destroyer in the creek on hole 5 at Tuttle this evening. Went out with my brother in law for a round in the rain and think I put it right in the drink. Tried to wade through and find it but it was waist high...so I couldn't get too far in. A reward awaits it's return if anyone finds it!
