If not for bugs and low river land, this would be my favorite course in the state. Long challenging holes in a beautiful wooded area. Well marked tee signs are easy to follow..Very little elevation change so its easy on your knees and great for carts!!

Nothing about this course that wasn't enjoyable. Has a pond and stream, elevation changes and 24 concrete tee pads on a 1 year old course. The fairways are very fair on the long holes and the wooded holes are a little shorter than the wide open ones. There is a shelter in between 11's basket and 12's tee pad which is very handy for a quick break. Took 15 years to get pads at Fitz so these guys have done a hell of a job!!. It's also 35 minutes from my house!

Great place to unload some drives. Only 3 of the 9 holes are under 300 and the fairways are very wide with an occasional tree. You can play the course in 30 minutes by yourself. Has some hills and a water hole which Fitz doesn't have. Can easily play it before or after a round at Fitzgerald Park or Grand Woods.

Beautiful long heavily wooded course. The fairways are very fair and well groomed so hit em or pay the price. Very easy to navigate, even with 2 sets of tees. (We played the longs). I probably only used 6-8 discs to play the round. My 1st 2 shots were usually, throw long then throw long again. Any groups we encountered welcomed us and let us play through. Even though Marcs 400 foot drives don't land in a narrow fairway, there are so many trees that he ended up in the fairway many times due to tree love or tree luck. Great course!

This has become one of my favorite Michigan courses. Many tight short and long shots through the woods. Lots of little OB ponds to make you pay attention. There are no tee pads. The highlight is the Eagle's nest that sits in a tree right above the fairway. One of the adult's landed in the nest during my last round there.

Every hole has elevation changes through heavy woods. Course is easy to follow (even without a map) and the teesigns show distance and direction. No excessively long holes. Three par 4's, although #18, a par 3, was as tough as any of them. Pick a line and hit it. This course is a hidden diamond!

River's Edge. Absolutely the best Michigan course East of Flip City.
Will challenge any skill level of golfer with short and long heavily wooded holes with elevated and downhill shots. Must be played a few times to figure out your lines and where Not to go.

1st time through. Really, really liked the course.
The 2 state park courses are way up on my list (also Sleepy Hollow). Holly has some water in play on a couple holes, Has elevation changes.Has many wooded but fair holes.
Has long open and long tight holes. Bring all your shots.
Best of all you, don't need SUNSCREEN!! Always a place to stand in the shade.

No problem navigating on 1st trip to the park. Tees are marked and holes mapped at each pad. Lots of holes will play easier (smarter) the 2nd time around. Very nice and clean restrooms and beach. Great Coarse!

Keith, There's a tree in your wheelhouse on the 18th teepad. Ouch!

Given the space they had to utilize, Charlotte has built a fantastic coarse. 24 holes for a town the size of Charlotte is a signifcant accomplishment for their club.

No great scenic signature holes but a good number of heiser, anheiser and straight on holes. Front nine is short and easy but requires technical shots. 4-7 holes should probably be par 2s. The back 15 is the longer section. Not many places to lose a disc. Holes and tees are well marked.

Stop by when you're in the neighborhood and add this coarse to your played list!

New Layout!! Two weeks ago the course underwent improvements and was updated for the 1st time in years. Although some classic holes have disappeared, new, needed, more difficult holes have replaced them. The new layout better utilizes a wonderfully wooded area that had only been used for three holes previously. Now woods are in play for 9 holes. There are short left, long left, short right, long right and, with the addition of 4 par four holes, much more distance than ever before on the cou ...
