Very nice use of the land available. With the hopeful addition of concrete pads it will be a great play!

Only a couple things keep it from being an A. Definitely needs concrete pads, and the signage needs improvement. Showing the water hazards would be nice as many are blind from the tee, and the signs had two yardages as if there were two teepads which there were not. Otherwise a pretty nice course, wooded and technical.

Very pretty course, wooded and technical...the lack of directions keep it from having a higher rating, and I question ending a course with a 630 ft round-killer...

Great course, the jewel of Mason County for sure. Only complaint is a lack of course maps, so not much to gripe about.

By far the most overrated course I have played in Michigan. Not sure what all the buzz is about to be honest. Mediocre at best.

This course is like a really forgettable one night stand. Slightly better than playing with yourself (or in more relevant terms, just throwing at a basket in your backyard), and just as dangerous, with awful footing and cramped holes. For the life of me I can not figure out how it is always busy when JC and Brewer are so close.
Update 7/7/16 - they have cement tee pads finally. Risk of broken ankles greatly diminished.

Very nice course, but I expected more given its lofty rating. The back nine is a solid A but can't overcome a pedestrian front 9. The course was clean and in good repair, and you can't beat the mountain backdrop! The thinner air andlevation made it a workout as well.

Just a great course! I could go on and on with superlatives, but I will just say it was great I was able to play this course.

I can only wonder if this redesign was the product of a wager, based on the statement, "I bet you can't make a worse design than the first layout." Well, if my speculation is correct they have succeeded. This is a boring mess. The layout is illogical, there is no semblance of any linear formatting. It is an abomination. The best thing to do would be to sneak in at night, steal all the baskets and donate them to someone who will not hire a graduate of the Helen Keller School of Disc Golf Design to make a new course.
