how many of you play on a course that sends the park staff out to blow the leaves off of all tee pads ? and then when I went back again, they also blew all the leaves off of the fairways !!! I'd say that's how a disc golf course should be cared for. Visit the Jungle at Sanford Lake Park to see just how a course should be cared for.

The guy on my card at Genesee who was one stroke behind me, that I beat by 12 strokes, wants to caddy for me. And getting the bag off my back has changed my mind about caddying. I thought somebody else carrying my bag would throw my rhythm off. But now that I'm carting it, I don't think it's an issue. So thanks, but don't come driving out here, I already have a caddy!

Actually, I think it was 4th place. But out of 72 in the Advanced Men's division, I'm the 4th best am putter... in the WORLD!!

and again, any show of support only helps the Friend's Group in selling the idea of a disc golf complex complete with a 9 hole youth course, disc golf driving range, ultimate playing field and an 18 hole course that has room for expansion or exciting temporary holes for tournaments.

disc golf at Beach Wellness was a great success. Thanks for hosting our 9 hole temporary youth course. Word has it that the first "Hole In One" was recorded at the Disc Golf Complex at BCSRA.

The generous offer comes from Patient Caregivers Services to give all proceeds from a Car Wash to the Friends of Bay City State Recreation Area for their disc golf course project. Save a few minutes to have the ride washed Friday between 12-5.
Rumors are that the lovely ladies that help staff the facility, along with a group of female volunteers in bathing suits will be doing the washing (maybe a gent PCS staff as well). check it out. HUge thanks to Mark and PCS for their community concern and generosity.

The news just came across the wire - The Friends Of Bay City State Recreation Area were awarded $7740.00 from the Bay Area Community Foundation's "Community Initiative Fund". By June 1st the clearing should start and hopefully there will be an 18 hole layout available to play before the snow flies in the fall of the year. The grant amount still leaves the project coming up short about $7000.00 (some of which has been pledged) and will certainly require community wide support and efforts to resol ... more

A Huge Thumbs up to the Bay Area Community Foundation, to Mike Evanoff for initiating the original idea and getting the project to this point and to the Friends Of Bay City State Recreation Area for having the vision to see the park become a destination for many reasons and many people.
