Nice job Craig

Craig Prime   May 29 at 10:47am

almost hit 3 for 3 on 14 yesterday. First round just missed a direct into the chains, round two the drive skipped into the underside of the cage and so I tossed a cali for fun and guess what ? skipped it into the cage !!! yes, it didn't score on the card cause it was a cali fun shot but at my age, I think I'll call 3 for 3.

Craig Prime   May 29 at 7:14pm

and as a follow up, today nearly I sliced off a piece of my thumb on the right hand. the piece stayed on with a bandaid, how long should I be away from the game, Dr. Keith ?

so sad for what was perfectly clear pads at The Jungle. Can anyone give an estimate on how much snow fell in Sanford ? Bay City had as much as I've cleared all year.

is everyone using ribbons there?

Craig Prime   February 13 at 3:16pm

YES, last week it was deep and powdery that 3' ribbons almost got lost. Not many players results in many open areas so the landing spot is usually visible. Ribbons help.

Craig Prime    January 13 at 4:49pm

anyone know if the pads are clean in Freeland ?

At The Jungle in Sanford, all but 16 & 17 pads are shoveled and free of ice. The snow is DEEP, very difficult to walk through and ribbons are probably a mando item, if you expect to easily (3 minutes) find these things. The fairways and woods have about 6-8" of fresh powder over top of 1" of ice that is over 4-6" of early snow. Most often the discs cut into the powder to the ice layer and leave almost no sign of entry. Tomorrow a few players are meeting at 11, playing holes 15 through 18 as a wa ... more

Friday - Tittabawasee trails - tee off at 10:00am on hole #4, random draw doubles or singles depending on turnout. No pay to play, it's all for fun and a gather because for all of you out there that know, love and miss our good friend Guy Gill, you probably also know that Guy makes an annual trip back to Michigan just to see if he can split the trees on hole 10 again at Tittabawasee trails, and if so, for the 13th time. This year we are all in luck, Guy will be visiting 3 times before the end o ... more

Old Airport Disc Golf Course - AuGres, Michigan has posted "NO DISC GOLF" throughout rifle deer season. Be careful players, stay clear. This land has a history of seeing hunters; if not within, often very near some of the holes. The best idea is to not play when there is a chance that a scope may be aiming somewhere near you or your disc.

Craig Prime   November 15 at 7:59am

The alternative is to get yourself a hunting license, where bright orange and carry a rifle while you play 20 great holes of disc golf... :)

It was a great time at Chippewa Banks end of the year gig, thanks Tony, Jeff, Thom and all that make it happen. "KEEP WOODSTOCK ALIVE" !!!

Has anyone ever wanted to see disc golf at Bay City, MI State Recreation Area ? How about taking a survey ? The Park and DNR are looking for opinions. Follow the link to an article that will then provide a link to the survey. What would you want to see at the park on the 200 plus acres of state owned land that is designated for light day use ? http://www.mlive.com/news/bay-city/index.ssf/2013/10/dnr_to_host_meeting_at_doublet.html#incart_river_default Comment · Permalink · Unfollow thi ... more

I did the survey and brought up the Disc Golf course idea multiple times. Then left them a long comment explaining why I thought having a course could generate funds for the marsh lands or beach, given if the course were pay to play.

Jim "Got Shark" Schmitt   October 22 at 11:53am

Done, I also left a good comment on the need for a course. I use this park for birdwatching now and would love to see some improvements

Craig Prime   October 23 at 5:52am

thanks to all that read the article and did the survey. Check BC Mlive for a follow-up on the meeting.
