There's chatter again about the possibility of Bay City getting a disc golf course, follow the link to read an MLive article that explains the preliminary plans. I was asked by a gentleman that just may be the designer to explore and get feedback from those in and around the Bay City area on just what the locals think Bay City needs for a course something for beginners, advanced, 9 hole, 18 hole nothing but 24 with red, white and blue tees ? The parcel being considered is 17 acres, mostly w ... more

Hiya Criag! I saw the Freeland map. What is the current status of completion, at this point, on the extra holes?

Friggin' Sweet, Thanks Jim, I'll have to make a trip over there before the snow builds to try out the new holes!

Craig Prime   November 14 at 6:38pm

indeed, it is friggin sweet, a fun addition

Jim Fries   November 14 at 7:40pm

I think the changes are good just a few goofy lines. I really like the change to hole two.

the $20.00 reward worked so well for my putters, let's try this again. Lost on hole 18 at Sanford, yellow start wraith, covered with ink from the 3 aces. $20.00 for the return. Also, yellow old school ACE lost on the right side of the fairway on hole 6 at Chippewa Banks. Inked with owners name, return for the $20.00 reward. I posted a picture of the yellow wraith. thanks Pro Par Plastics for brokering the return.

I had a phone call telling me that the word is Sunday - 10:00 for Church league in Midland

Craig Prime    October 17 at 5:59am

I'm missing two putters last used Sunday at hole 18. I was certain they were in the bag and thought I putted Monday with them in my backyard but today they are gone. It's a mystery ??? both marked with 29817 PDGA . White JK Aviar & Orange SS Omega with Ice Bowl stamp. $40.00 or two new discs of choice when returned unharmed

Fred McGill   October 17 at 11:30am

Played Sanford yesterday, but no sign of them

Craig Prime   October 17 at 12:13pm

pretty certain that I just spaced out and walked away from the two of them on 18 after playing cali + practice shots for holes 9 through 18.

Nice job Craig

Craig Prime   May 29 at 10:47am

almost hit 3 for 3 on 14 yesterday. First round just missed a direct into the chains, round two the drive skipped into the underside of the cage and so I tossed a cali for fun and guess what ? skipped it into the cage !!! yes, it didn't score on the card cause it was a cali fun shot but at my age, I think I'll call 3 for 3.

Craig Prime   May 29 at 7:14pm

and as a follow up, today nearly I sliced off a piece of my thumb on the right hand. the piece stayed on with a bandaid, how long should I be away from the game, Dr. Keith ?

Craig Prime    May 17 at 8:52am

Craig Prime    February 18 at 1:22pm

so sad for what was perfectly clear pads at The Jungle. Can anyone give an estimate on how much snow fell in Sanford ? Bay City had as much as I've cleared all year.

james-JOSH- russell   February 18 at 8:58pm

I got about 7 at my place.

Craig Prime    February 13 at 7:34am

Craig Clingan   February 13 at 11:03am

is everyone using ribbons there?

Craig Prime   February 13 at 3:16pm

YES, last week it was deep and powdery that 3' ribbons almost got lost. Not many players results in many open areas so the landing spot is usually visible. Ribbons help.

Craig Prime    January 13, 2014 at 4:49pm

anyone know if the pads are clean in Freeland ?

Craig Prime    December 26, 2013 at 6:29pm

At The Jungle in Sanford, all but 16 & 17 pads are shoveled and free of ice. The snow is DEEP, very difficult to walk through and ribbons are probably a mando item, if you expect to easily (3 minutes) find these things. The fairways and woods have about 6-8" of fresh powder over top of 1" of ice that is over 4-6" of early snow. Most often the discs cut into the powder to the ice layer and leave almost no sign of entry. Tomorrow a few players are meeting at 11, playing holes 15 ... more
