Nice course -- lots of water -- and lots of artificial OB. Front 9 wide open, and back 9 in woods. Good mix of shots, woods too righty friendly. Overall a little rough -- no T-pads for example. A work in progress... great potential to be a 4+ rated course. Now I give it a 3.5. Edited... I recently played the new redesigned course.. The water holes are gone, and the course is all on the side of the street opposite the lovely cafe. It is a better course. The T-pads are brand now. There a ...

Beautiful course with two tees and two baskets permanent at each hole for nice layout options -- like Mine Kill and Borderlands.
Gargoyle's Garden › March 17, 2021
Unique course in rain forest. Tons of fun. Short and technical; good for my ability.

I like the first nine hole here. Some holes are tough birdies like 1, and the long holes are tough for me. Five is a hard 4 as is 6 and 8.

It is a nice course with good use of elevation. Most holes have two hole placements. The signage was inconsistent, and the hole placements unmarked. Very muddy but signs for directions from hole to hole were okay.

This is a world class course that needs maintenance. Lots of elevation and lots of wlking between holes make for an exhausting round, but the course itself is beautifully designed. There are red and blue tees, and occasionally seprate baskets.

Champion workd class course -- Amazing -- but hard rain for two days made conditions somwhat unplayable on certain holes.
Mine Kill State Park › October 6, 2020
This course, located in a New York State Park is amazing. There are two tees and two baskets on every one of the 18 holes. One of the best parts of this course is that each of the four combinations is a very different hole. Sometimes the same hole will be a technical short shot on one layout and a bomb on another. One layout is lefty-friendly and one righty-friendly. It is hard to design all four combinations this well so consistently.
The park is beautiful with great views of the Catskil ...

Excellent course. Well maintained. Lots of variety and plenty of options on each hole - risk versus reward. Only three holes are not birdiable for me.
Town Park (Amesbury Pines) › October 26, 2014
It's a tightly packed course with some nice variety of elevation and left and right. Some baskets are very old and beat up. Hole 18 is a pretty birdie option across a pond.

Amazing course -- The new design by Chuck kennedy is outstanding. Best course in Illinois
Bryant Lake Park › June 17, 2014
This is a stunning course, with lots of different challenges: elevation, length, and variety of angles. Professionally laid out with great signage, A great pro course -- They added 6 holes since I used to play here 7 years ago.
Arena West Park › June 17, 2014
Short, easy and strange course. Baskets catch well but have one layer of chains. The whole course can be seen from the starting tee. Mostly open and under 300 feet, with just 3 holes in the woods.
Black Bear Park › January 12, 2014
Very nice course. Short and technical -- a lot like the white course at Borderlands. Missing elevation like most Illinois courses. Excellent signage and layout. Some very tight fairways.
Indian Oaks › February 10, 2022
Great course. Well maintained. Very little elevation, but otherwise a good variety of long/short, open/wooded, lefty/righty holes. The layout is the only negative with one or two long walks between holes, and a long walk from the end to the start.

Very nice course -- shortish and technical with a nice mix of holes. Conditions were horribly muddy and wet.
Hyland Brewery & Orchards › April 3, 2011
Nice variety. Some fairways need pruning to make real lane.
Jordan Creek Park › December 23, 2010
What an amazing course. It is a longish, challenging and multi-faceted course: elevation, variety of turns, well-groomed, and clever layout/ The last (signature) hole, a 560 foot anhy dogleg over two brooks and an island is amazing.
