Today's Sermon: Our Passion!
(Use my Drill Sergeant bark for your internal voice)

Hell is not fire and brimstone, it is rain! The time at the onset of this sermon is 0958hrs, and here I am preaching instead of worshipping, not unlike many of you. While at this same time, other fellow disc golfers bravely soldier on during this inclement weather. To these brethren I salute, because their passion for disc golf outstrips common sense. While I too am passionate for the game, that passion has been tempered strong but has cooled. It no longer burns for me, us actually, so hot as to chase us out into this weather. Sure sure, there are those of us that are married or similarly committed and communing with the Gods of Disc Golf* is not just worship, but blessed escape from the nagging harpies of daily life. I salute you no matter what drives you to that course or tournament in today's poor weather, and remind you (and those of us at home) that you played, which is the way we worship!
