Parked hole 1 with the wasp again. Yanked my drive on hole 4 and didn't have a shot at deuce. Crushed my forehand on 9, but missed the 40 foot putt for 2. Drive pinned behind trees on 11 and my upshot came up 50 short... I laid up the par putt and took bogey. Missed a 25 footer on 13 and took a par. Missed a 25 footer on hole 15 and took bogey. Made a 25 footer on hole 16 to save par. Made a 20 footer on hole 17 to save par.

My partner was Mike Miller. It was a super windy day and I wasn't driving good at all. I completely failed my drives on holes 2,3,5,6,7,8,11,12,14,16,18. We used Mike's drive on 9 or so of the holes. He had our deuce drives on holes 3,7,13,16. I had really good putts on holes 1,3,7,9,16. He got 13 all by himself. We missed short opportunities on 4 and 14 and medium opportunities on 10,15,19. We also missed a 15 footer for par on hole 12. Otherwise we would have had a nice clean round.

My partner was Tom's brother, Jimbo. He got our deuces on 5 and 8. I got our deuces on 13 and 15. We both duffed our drives badly on hole 4 but he had a great upshot w/ his vector to get us out of trouble. He parked 5 w/ his pro wraith. He parked 8 as well. We used my drives on hole 2,4,6,7,9,10,12,13,14,15,17,18. We used his on 1,3,5,8,11,16.

My partner was Rob Barrett. Conditions were super windy. We started on hole 1. I birdied hole 3,9,15,18. He got our deuces on 10 and 16. We missed deuce opportunities on 4,5,7,14,17. I threw a spike hyzer with my champ xcal on hole 13. The wind held it up and it spiked left and long of the basket and rolled into the pond.

West Park, Chain Reaction 2012, 27 holes
Tournament Chain Reaction 2012 (Round 2)
Play awful. Missed short deuce chances on 5,6,14,15. I had two nasty roll-aways: On hole 17 I threw a forehand that hit a tree while fading in. It got on edge and rolled all the way back into the street... circle 4. On hole 21 I sawed off a forehand flick and it spiked and rolled 25 feet uphill onto the road. Hole 4 was a mess. I turned over my forehand deep into the woods... my roller upshot went the wrong way.... I shorted my jump putt approach and missed the following putt for a 5. Hole 10 was a mess again too: My flick didn't skip all the way back in so I had to play from in front of the tee shooting 3. I sawed off my shot to make sure I stayed in bounds... 2 putt from there for a 5. I birdied hole 1 with a special blend star teebird. I got hole 8 with my 164 flick... backhand. I got 13 with my KCWO DX Roc. I got 18 with my 167g tie dye flick. I got hole 20 with my 164 flick backhand. I got 23 with my gummy yellow flick forehand. I got hole 24 with my 164 flick backhand. Overall, really bad round.

Stayed clean compared to the rest of my card. Missed good deuce chances on 1,4,5,8,14,17. My jump putt on hole 11 was money but it skidded into the creek. Hole 10 was just awful... left my drive on the right side of the road. Hole 16 I sawed off my forehand and my soft vibram upshot rolled away.

I played with Doug again. We stayed clean, but still finished one stroke out of the money. I got the birdie drives on 1, 2, 13, 14, 19. He got the birdie drives on 7, 15, 18. I parked 18 too, but he was closer. His putts on 1, 2, 7, 14 were nice... I'm not 100% I'm making them. He carried me on Hole 12. I carried him on hole 11.

My partner was Tyler. 20 year old college discus thrower for Western Illinois. He only had 2 discs (an R-Pro Aviar and a Champ Wraith), but he threw them really well. He deuced 3 by himself (backhand wraith and putt). I deuced 4 by myself (forehand xcal and long putt). I deuced 7 by myself (backhand beat DX Roc and long putt). I deuced 9 by myself (foehand xcal and short putt). He deuced 14 by himself (forehand wraith and short putt). We deuced 16 together (my drive with an Ion an his 20 foot putt). We missed short deuces on 10 (my xg boss drive), 13 (my teebird drive) and 18 (his backhand wraith drive).

Started off on 8 and had a great start. I missed an easy deuces on hole 17. I missed another easy deuce on hole 19 (the picnic table hole). My upshot on 20 was good, I just bricked the putt. I had a meltdown on 4 and never recovered. Backhand hyzer out over the OB hit a tree and made it maybe 20 feet past the short tee. I duffed my forehand approach. I duffed my next forehand approach. My jump putt hit a tree and fell to circle's edge. I two putt from there. Missed short putts on 4,7,17,19,20. My second round from the longs was good enough for 2nd in Rec overall, but I left so many strokes on the course it was a day of "what could have been."

Had 30 ft putt for deuce on hole 2, but there was a headwind and I laid it up. It skidded softly under the basket, popped up on its side and rolled away 30 feet. Unreal. Still, no excuse to 4 putt. Overall, I played really poorly this round. I missed short putts on 2,3,6,8,13,16,19,21. I also had the terrible idea of throwing a thumber on hole 20. Bad round. Bad decisions. Really bad putting. The soft ions got hot and stuck in my hands. Gotta evaluate that.
