John Minicuci  › Re-Disc in a Boxing Day Open   December 24, 2011 at 10:37pm

The event will be playing on the future 1st 18 holes. Here is a brief on what we are playing on Monday:
#1 (a new tee box near the practice basket to old 23 long basket. [the short 23 basket will be for those who play the short tees in future events. The proposed footage to the short 23 from the new tee box #1 is approximately 390 feet]. The new #1 long is approximately 730 feet.).
#2 is the current hole 24.
#'s 3 through 10 are current holes 1 - 8.
#'s 11 - 18 are the current holes 15 through 22.
The above described holes will be the format for Monday's event.

**The new holes 19 - 27 will < not > be played for this event. Tee boxes and baskets are not installed on any of them except for holes 12 through 14. These three holes are proposed future holes 22 through 24. Everything else on the 19 - 27 is brand new with the exception of holes 9, 10, and 11. These 3 holes will be combined into 1 monster hole where the tee box is in hole 9's fairway near 14's basket and 11's basket will be moved approximately 75 feet back and up out of the valley that always holds a water trail. The long tee box on 11 will become the short tee box for this hole and the current 11 short tee box will most likely be removed.

I know, logistically it is tough to follow, sorry :-) . The new 1st 18 will feature holes 1 and 2 equaling about 1700 plus feet combined. In the future, these 1st 2 holes are going to create some high scores for some players as they head into hole 3.

This is the current plan for the Re-Disc Open and future changes at Stony. For now... ;-)
