Hey, hey my Alaskan disc golf bretheren. My wife and I are heading to Alaska for a land/cruise gig in August. Bought an extra day in Anchorage to check out the city. Thinking about checking out Kincaid whilst out your way. Is the park pretty easy to get to with public transportation or cab? We would love to meet up with a couple locals to throw a round with, but I will give a shout out a bit closer to that time. We are by no means pros (but both of us have been playing for a couple decades). Any info you might think useful would be greatly appreciated.

Watch out for moose. Occasionally bear. Someone will take care of you.

Kincaid is pretty close to the airport, which is good. However, public transportation is pretty innefficient. I'd google some cab prices, but in my opinion, the time you'd save and the possibly extra money you'd spend on a rental car would give you the freedom to go play a few courses ... more

I would agree that public transportation is not the most ideal in Anchorage, particularly if you want to access Kincaid Park. Renting a car might be your best option for the day. I'm sure someone would be able to meet up with you that day, just give us another heads up. Hilltop Ski Area Disc Golf Course would also be a great Alaskan course to add to your list.

Hi Steve...When you can send me the day or days you and your wife are in Anchorage. I will be your guide if you would like. I suggest at minimum playing Hilltop and Kincaid, and if you have time Peters Creek. I sent you a friend request. Let me know.

What Adam said, I'd love to go play with you all!

Thanks for the warm reception guys. We will look into a car rental, I appreciate the feedback. I don't know that we will have time to squeeze in more than one round, we would love to check out some of the city in our short time in Anchorage as well. I will definately be getting in touch this summer to make use of some course guiding.
