The MetroParks website really gives no indication that pay to play is seasonal. While I am sure you could get away without paying, I am not sure that means you are not supposed to. Unless Michael and Andrew have had some conversation with the park officials, and given the lack of any free period of play identified on their website, I think it wise to assume you should be purchasing a wristband. I will gladly stop in and ask next time I play one of the courses.

If the expectation, by the park, is golfers will pay, doing the right thing will be to the entire disc golf communities benefit. As I stated above, I would be glad to report back to find what the park rules actually are. Perhaps there is no expectation of paying during off season. I have an annual pass, so it is not an issue.
i have played at stony many times and i didnt know that until i called and asked this morning. still think ill play some free disc golf until next year
regardless of the time of season if theres nobody in the shack you must purchase from the main office your day pass for discing.

You don't have to stop at the main office to play...don't listen to Richard Bell...if there's no one in the shack then you don't have to pay.
