Find the Culprit

players at Freeland and the surrounding area, be on the lookout ! Someone has removed a set of chains on several of the baskets at Tittabawasee Trails. All of the missing single set of chains were missing from the backside of the baskets, so if you're not paying attention or coming in from the front, you may not even notice. Does anyone know of have heard about a local disc golfer making his own basket ?

Beer for my horses.

That's so weird. The selective removal shows an intent to leave the target wounded but still in service. Some kind of perverse rationalization is going on in the head of player/thief who "cares" about the rest of us.

if someone is going to steal it wouldn't be just chains missing a whole basket would be gone don't ya think?

The thought patterns behind this crime will not be discovered through ordinary reasoning. i.e. Maybe the thief wanted to connect his nipple rings with something that reminds him of discgolf.

I have always hated pay to play with a passion but am becoming rather fond of it. The differences between courses are huge-this event would be unlikely at a pay to play course, no trash, no graffiti, etc.

I get that people won't trash what they just paid for. But there are no truly free courses. The thief or vandal is simply extracting value from the common wealth becoming more of an alien in their world.

Darren, what are you suggesting ? The chains are gone and someone took them.
