Both courses changed drastically. All the Russian Olive is being taken out. Most of the holes are now WIDE open. If you did not like the rough before you won't even find it now. Played original today but stayed in the short grass so it did not affect us. When they do 10, 15, and 18 it will really make them easy.
ben & jerry amirite?
"Most" of the holes? I feel like it was already pretty open outside of the few tunnel holes and then the letter holes on Monster. Most of those trees are not Olives, so how much did those get chopped down?. Cant wait to get out and see it.
Hudson original, in my opinion use to be one of my favorites. Now it's pointless to play until they replant some trees and even after, they can't replace all of them. Didn't check out monster but I saw 14 and 15 from the road before you turn and those holes were ruined. If you're gonna make the drive, better off going to Indy.
Indy is pretty open, too. They both have distinct flavors in opinion. Love both Indy and Hudson.
What makes you hate it, Jake?
Never said i hated it. I said its pointless. I liked the challenge most of the holes offered and now they're not.
It has changed drastically. And they're not done. There were still plenty of trees tagged to come down.
I hear ya. Gonna have to play it to see what's going down.
Anyone know why they're doing this? Is it beyond normal maintenance (sounds like it).
You can't plant enough bushes, small trees, etc to replace what has been removed. It looks like a very large brush-hog cleared large areas.
OG plays virtually same for me and my buddies. But visually it's about 75% different. The entire beginning minus 3 and letter holes are opened up enough to pretty much give views from the path to the walking biking trail. Crazy loss of isolation vibes. Keep in mind they're doing this for a ... more

Keep in mind they're doing this for a good reason. That plant is killing off native species. In a couple years many, NOT ALL, but many spots will regrow new vegetation. At least that's opinion.
