Thank you Mickey for "plowing" the way to make this possible! Looking forward doing some hard work and getting the money raised as quickly as possible.
I'll help organize a tourney at sims some time in late winter / early spring (March or April) with proceeds to help benefit this course new course. maybe we can get the oz involved somehow to have it be 2 courses.
Go after local businesses and ask for 1,000.00 hole sponsorship. it's right before taxes, so this would be the time to go after them. You can go with tee pad sign sponserships! I imagine no concrete yet until they finally ok and like the positions
Painesville is donating the land and some help with labor. We have to raise the full amount for nine holes to start and will need help from the local disc golf community for labor. It's not an easy task, but it can be done! :)
Hey Greg, I'm sure this hasn't come up, but probably should. What happens if a basket gets stolen? Will the city cover the cost and get a new basket? new course will bring money to the city, that's for sure.
At this time it's assumed the disc golf club in Painesville will take care of it. We will host a variety of fundraisers to put some money in a kiddie for such things. However, there is still time to work on an agreement for after the course is complete.
Larry, even with baskets being locked they can still be stolen! I'm just saying it might be a good idea to see if anything would happen to a basket maybe the city would cover the cost. Osborne had a basket stolen and it was locked.
We can go back and fourth with comments, the point is if Mickey and surrounding clubs are willing to spend time and possibly own money you need to the possibility of a basket getting stolen. If you can convince the city to cover the lost of a basket then why not? When your planning on something like this you need to think ahead.

Good point Duane. Mickey and I are hitting business' Nov-March, but will make a big push the next two months.
i've already inquired with my employer, avery dennison. i'll let you know what they come back with.
Thanks Larry! Some employers match dollar for dollar if an employee donates. Something to consider...
Will Painsville be helping with cost as well? Or will they be taking care of the labor part?

the baskets can be locked to the ground. that's how they are at sims. the parma club can help with the pins, as i'm pretty sure they did for euclid.

of all the courses around, that's the only one i've ever heard of as stolen. i don't think it should be an issue, especially if they are locked.
