Hi, I live in Stansbury Park I am also on the Stansbury Service Agency. We e have just put in a disc golf course and I am worried that we have made the course too long and with too many things to play around. We are getting close to putting in all the signage I would like to see if someone would be willing to come out and evaluate or course and tell us if it is an enjoyable course or not. You can contact me Neil Smart 801.372.0881
Where is the course?
I found the location. I'm planning to play it tomorrow and will give feedback.
Stansbury Park - The Long Course is of great value. We do not have any other very long courses in the area, making this one great for variety. I hope we can put together a tournament there in 2015. Stansbury Park - The Long Course is of great value. We do not have any other very long courses in the area, making this one great for variety. I hope we can put together a tournament there in 2015. The biggest mistake designers can make in this day and age of high tech long distance discs is to put in a short "rec" type course, that the large disc golf community would ignore. Consistent use by new players is usually only achieved via joining groups of existing players, so this course that appeals to existing player's will create more new local players than a short/easy course would. Thanks!
Sounds like I need to put this on my must play list. Have played ball golf out there.
Nick, when are you going out? I might join you.

Neil, I finally got to play the course today. I definitely had a good time but I can see some potential future issues on 7,8,11 and 12 just due to close proximity. Most of the other overlapping fairways can be easily dealt with by being courteous and announcing throws. If there were some added mandatory markers I could see the overlapping issues being lessened quite a bit. I would also make all of the par 5's par 4's. I'm an intermediate player and if I played with the current scoring system I would have shot -10 today. You could probably drop some of the par 4's to par 3's as well but we can discuss those further elsewhere.
thank you all for your comments, Nick, if you come out again, I would like to meet with you along with our park manager and go to the course and discuss what you concerns are. Please let me know if this will work for you. Thanks again
Dan thanks for your perspective on having a longer course and introducing new player to the game.
doug, would love to hear your thoughts after you have a chance to play the course.
