2014 Coming to an end

With 2014 coming to an end we want to remind you that PacWest DG is a 501c3 charity and we are in need of your financial support. We are wholly funded by charitable contributions and fundraisers. No salaries are paid to staff, 100% of you contributions go to help fund projects and growth of disc golf in our local area. PLEASE, if you can help financially, or through gifts of tractors, mowers, and tools. Also, gifts of cars or boats or real property that can be sold to fund projects can be useful. THANK YOU, in advance for your gift!

PacWest DG has had a BIG YEAR and with the end of 2014 quickly approaching, we can take look back at our 2014 accomplishments…

Opening of Wheatland DGC at Willamette State Park

Assisted: Friends of Champoeg DG in the redesign and installation of concrete tee pads at Champoeg State Park.

Assisted: Willamette Disc Golf Club with the installation of tee pads at Adair DGC Corvallis (Actually Nov 2013 but its close enough)

We will have run 12 tournaments and 2 weekly leagues by the end of 2014 (10 successful events to date)

We want to take this time to thank everyone who has giving through blood and sweat, and also financially to the growth and improvement of our disc golf addiction we call Disc Golf. So many volunteers have stepped up and toiled in the rain, mud and thorns with PacWest DG to improve our local disc golf courses, CHEERS to the 1%ers that do work!

2015 IS LOOKING TO BE A GREAT YEAR! And we are kicking it off with a bang.

Glow League, Ice Bowl Tournament Feeding the Hungry, PacWest High Stakes Tournament, Willamette Valley High School League or Series and many more events to come.

NEW COURSE BUILDS… Steamboat DGC in a Marion County park and a course build in Wilsonville.

Improvements of better signage at Keizer Rapids DGC, Wheatland DGC, Champoeg DGC.

1%er Work Program to help maintain our current disc golf courses.

Pro education workshops, Basic to Advanced

Have a great Holiday Season, see you on the course!

Great work PacWest!

Matthew Bressler   October 15, 2014 at 11:49am

A course in Wilsonville? Good work. Never thought that would happen.

Matthew Bressler   October 15, 2014 at 11:50am

You guys rock by the way. I will help out any way I can.

:-)

Jeff Heltsley   October 15, 2014 at 12:28pm

And you guys are helping with the course build in Junction City as well.

I'd love to hear more details about this "Willamette Valley High School League or Series" you speak of. My son's a sophomore at North Salem, and is interested in starting a DG team there.

PacWest played a huge leadership role in the Champoeg project. They were mentors and content experts. Oh yea, when it came time to work, they were there in force. Huge props... I love the Willsonville idea. Keep a Hagg Lake upgrade in mind:)

Matthew Bressler   October 15, 2014 at 5:23pm

Hagg Lake is in a flood plain. Not sure much can be down over there.

Mike Wilson   October 15, 2014 at 5:48pm

Hang Lake upgrade from what I understand would be a total remodel in a new location at the park.

Matthew Bressler   October 15, 2014 at 7:32pm

Wow that would be amazing! You guys have big plans. I love it.

The best course not that many play. It's perfect the way it is. Well maybe a little tee pad help. Too bad they cut the grass more people are showing up. Amazingly peaceful in the winter time.
