It's Flint Hills Open Tournament Week!

It's now Tournament Week in MHK, the Inaugural Flint Hills Open tournament!
What's on the "to do list" for DFOK? How can you help? Keep reading.

1. PORTABLE BASKETS: A total of 3 high quality all metal baskets (with lots of chains) will be needed, for A, B & C fairways. Please contact me (Rick) if you've got one. Extras can be used for the practice area, so feel free to bring other types too.

2. SCOREKEEPERS: A few highly accurate "scorekeepers" will be needed at the lunch break & after the round to help double check scorecards.

3. BASKET MOVERS: Two teams of people, 3 or 4 per team, will be needed at the Lunch Break to move baskets.

4. NO FAIRMONT LEAGUE: No usual Thursday DFOK league will take place at Fairmont Park this week. If you are interested in helping mark O.B., Drop Zones, etc. contact me (Rick). Otherwise, feel free to have fun & get practiced up.

5. CLASSY not TRASHY: With so many visitors planing to visit our area courses this weekend, please help keep our courses clean by picking up trash if & when you see it. Even picking up one item per round helps!

6. HAVE FUN: As part of the KDGA Oz Tour, this is THE tournament in Kansas this week. Let's be great hosts, enjoy it to it's fullest, and hopefully play well enough to keep a bunch of the trophies here at home.

Sincerely,
Rick Petrie

Thanks for volunteering. BTW, The scorecard work and moving baskets will be happening simultaneously... at least at the lunch break.. Thus people will only be doing one or the other.

I don't think we should use my homade basket. It catches well, but you can drop them in through the top of the chain rack. I'll bring it just in case. We can practice putt at it if it is not used.
