DFOK Meeting Notes: Thursday, Sept 25th.

Below are my notes of the main items decided upon at tonight's Monthly DFOK Meeting.

1. FLINT HILLS OPEN TOURNEY LAYOUT - Finalized most of the layout decisions.
2. PRE-TOURNEY WORKDAYS - FAIRMONT PARK
Sunday, October 5th. ---> Minor specific tree trimming, move down logs, & miscellaneous light work (all approved by RL Co. Parks).
Saturday, October 11th. ---> Unfinished tasks (if any) from Oct. 5th.
Thursday, October 16th. ---> Painting O.B., Drop Zones, etc. for Saturday Tourney.
Note: Riley County Parks will also be doing some work, plus providing additional equipment in preparation for the tournament.

3. WARNER PARK / CITY PROJECTS
Project co-chairs designated as Jeremy LeCrone & Mitch Brenn. These two men will be the club voices & lead us through the City's ongoing Strategic Facility Improvement Plan processes.

4. DFOK TO TEACH DISC GOLF
Volunteers were accepted to help host an upcoming Disc Golf Clinic for the Manhattan Convention & Visitors Bureau.

5. SUNDAY SWAP MEET MINI-TOURNEY
This Sunday, Sept. 28th. Bring your discs to sell/swap, plus one as our entry to play the Swap Round. - Adam Johnson, Event Administrator.

6. 2014 EXPERIMENTAL LEAGUES CONTINUE IN OCTOBER
Thursday, October 2 - Cali League (singles league, everybody plays by Cali rules)
Thursday, October 9 - CTP League (played from temp tees)
Thursday, October 16 - No League, Tourney Workday
Thursday, October 23 - "Ace Hole League" (played from temp tees, bring your own discs)
Thursday, October 30 - "Ace Hole League" (played from temp tees, bring your own discs)

7. DFOK TO SPONSOR A FAIRWAY ON THE TUTTLE PROJECT
Apply remaining $274 of the 2013-2014 Bag Tag funds to sponsor a fairway (in conjunction with the $175 unclaimed 2012 Doubles League Ace Fund). When added up, $274+$175=$449.00, thus $51 more bucks will need to be raised by DFOK for us to sponsor a "full fairway" on the "Tuttle Project". No sweat!
Members in attendance were Mitch Brenn, Jeremy LeCrone, Mark Kewley, and myself… (hey guys, please clarify or correct anything above that was not accurate).

Sincerely,
Rick Petrie

Hey Rick I got some good news for you I had some money from the $1 donations for glow league for illuminations last year. However Nick and Mark donated batteries many that I will give $51 out of what I have for the DFOK hole so funding for that is done!

Sweetness. We were thinking we would pass the hat Sunday, but don't need to now.

Now we just gotta pull the three piles together, then write a check to the State Parks... if Daisuke will accept our application. :-)
